"This location is next to a stagnated open drainage, full of mosquitoes even with aircon.there is a very bad sting. The place is not suitable for holiday stay, unclean full of cockroaches, ants and geckos.Toilets are not in good condition, the master bedroom one is in very poor state with drainage issues.Very old property not maintained well. "I spent in Aiden's court my first nights in Sri Lanka before moving forward. This is a big 3-rooms house with a full kitchen. Microwave, gas stove and fridge are included as well tableware. "We rented this property thinking that we were renting the whole house as advertised. It turns out that that this house is a hostel as per the sign out front and we were given one room. After some discussion with the owner we were given three rooms. The owner had not been paid by VRBO and I had paid VRBO one month ahead of time. "I liked this hotel so much that I want to move in! It has everything: old world charm and service with modern facilities and good restaurants at a very reasonable price. The pool area was great and sunset happy hour at the rooftop bar should not be missed! The buffet in the Horizon restaurant is unbelievable and cheap by US standards. The breakfast buffet included in my room rate was worthy of the five star resort that is the Kingsbury. All in all highly recommended."

"We had a lovely stay at Granbell Hotel Colombo. It closed out our two week stay in Sri Lanka, and was one of our highlights. The hotel itself is modern, comfortable and well located. The rooms are incredibly well suited for couples - perfectly sized and with an amazing view (if you are debating, upgrade to a sea view)! My only complaint is that the menu prices exclude VAT, and you are unaware of this until you receive your first bill! It means that the hotel is unfortunately very unreasonable for food and drink for Sri Lanka - but there are plenty of eating options in Colombo."
