"An unforgettable stay for 4 weeks at Gites Freyssines. Carole was lovely and very responsive and catered to almost every request we had. House was spacious, private and relaxing. All the amenities one would want in the kitchen it had too alongside 2 large fridge freezers. The only issue we found was a lot of damp in the downstairs bedroom, there are a lot of bugs so we were reluctant to open windows so I think window mesh would be a good investment for the property to allow guests to open windows and not worry about bugs flying in. If you are squeemish around bugs and wasps I would not recommend as there are a lot around, however we came across no mosquitos which was a huge relief.The unheated pool area was lovely too. Clearly very well kept and just a lovely area to relax in. The property being pet friendly and lovely large open spaces meant our dog had a lovely holiday too. Around the area the nearby town of Le Bugue had everything you need too including weekly markets and large supermarkets. We would recommend to anybody visiting to eat at the nearby golf club too. The food was amazing!Thank you so much again Carole! We will be sure to pay another visit if we come to the area again. "

"We had the most incredible stay with Franck at La Sicardie. 7 nights, it is deep in the Dordogne countryside but also within a couple of hours drive to Bordeaux, Bergerac, Perigeaux and all the incredible cave systems that litter the area.Our accommodation was perfect, exactly as described, lots of space for the kids to run around, meet the donkeys and generally have a wonderful summer. Franck and his family are delightful hosts, warm, kind and most generous! We had everything we could possibly want, and more . The pool is a stunning and most welcome feature as well.Thank you Franck, Merci a vous Franck, hope you enjoy as much as we did! I hope we will be back!"

"The gite was beautiful, very clean and well equipped. Jacques SORBIER and his wife, the hosts, were very hospitable and greeted us on our arrival. We managed to communicate via email, despite our basic level of French. The gite is in a lovely rural location with far reaching views of the countryside, but is well located to explore the surrounding villages of the Dordogne. The picturesque village of Saint Alvere is only 5 mins drive and the larger town of Bugue, with a supermarket, is only 15 mins drive. Highly recommend a stay at this gite."

"We were a party of nine (three generations), celebrating our golden wedding anniversary. We had a fabulous two weeks at Quintefeuille.The owners, Diana and Philippe, gave us a very friendly welcome, and during the fortnight were attentive, helpful but discrete.Six of us stayed in the main house with the other three in the annexe with its own kitchen. The manoir was magnificent with large bedrooms, a very spacious lounge/dining area and a very well equipped kitchen which allowed us to indulge our passion for French cuisine. In the courtyard there was a very large table for outside dining-breakfast every morning and only once did we have to eat dinner inside.We enjoyed the excellent tennis court and swimming pool every day-the kids were in second heaven.The manoir is very secluded sitting in 47 acres of grounds which we enjoyed exploring. The peace and quiet was one of the main attractions-waking up in the morning with the sun streaming in and hearing the bird song was great.We will have very fond memories of the manoir for many years"

"Beautiful location on top of a hill with beautiful views of the countryside. Very close to all the tourist attractions near Le Bugue. Kids had great days out at local water parks, lakes and rivers. Would definitely recommend."

"It was what we expected as described on VRBO, and what we required, a very rural area, a lot of wildlife to see.We really felt relaxed and enjoyed the private pool.,Kerima and Mark were really considerate when we had a couple of issues, thank you. nothing major !!Also the roads are very quiet, so no traffic noise !Thank you againCarole & Bob"
