Relax to the sounds of the creek and birdlife in the rainforest at Jamberoo

Falls Cottage was built by a Jamberoo local in the 1980s and has grown in charm and character with every passing year. Its current owners have lovingly restored it with a country cottage kitchen, hand crafted interior finishes, a comfortable mezzanine bedroom and a deck and barbeque area to maximise guests’ enjoyment of the beautiful rainforest surrounds.

The space:
The cottage is a private, self-contained hideaway set on two acres beside the creek and separated from the main house by a grassy field, hill and tree cover. The cottage features a highly functional kitchen with a four burner stove, microwave, tea and coffee provisions including a Nespresso machine, as well as a small kitchen table and chairs. The cottage has been restored to reflect the local flora and fauna. Guests will enjoy a welcome breakfast basket delivery with fresh eggs from the free range chickens on site, a range of preserves, granola, fresh fruit and yoghurt, and a choice of bread. Afternoon arrivals will be welcomed with homemade treats.. The mezzanine bedroom with railed galley stairs is a cosy and comfortable sleeping space, while the sitting area beneath is the perfect place to relax and unwind with a book or one of the movies or board games provided. The front deck is the perfect place to enjoy the morning sun and the beautiful rainforest surrounds with the sound of the Minnamurra river and the birdlife, There is an outdoor setting and Weber barbeque at guests' disposal. The cottage has effective heating and cooling options for cool and warm days. Please note the wood burning stove is not up to current safety standards therefore not usable, but the cottage is lovely and warm with an effective electric heater and electric blankets for winter . It has a lovely cosy feel.

Other things to note:
Please note the mezzanine bedroom is only accessible by the railed galley steps which are steep. Lola, our dog and several chickens are on the property.
The cottage and the whole property including outdoor areas are strictly no smoking . Thank you for your cooperation with this .

Cottage - Jamberoo

From the moment you open the farm gate you felt at peace. The cottage is amazing. The greeting received from Lola the dog and the free range chickens was warming. The Owners have done a fantastic job in making you feel at home with the basket of breakfast goodies including Muesli, eggs from the resident chooks. Sourdough bread, condiments and a Cake left for us to enjoy. The Cottage and surrounds are peaceful and quiet. The property even though it is quite secluded is only a short drive from civilization. We would highly recommend staying at this property. 10/10!!

Lovely and relaxing

My partner and I had the pleasure of staying at this fantastic cottage over the Easter break. This was the perfect spot for a nice relaxing, stress-free get away. We were treated to a welcome basket of breakfast food and Easter eggs which was very thoughtful. The chickens roaming the place was a entertaining sight too. The cottage had everything we needed and more. Highly recommended as it's very close to Minnamurra falls which was also very nice. Hopefully we can come back soon. Thanks Allison

Cosy cottage retreat

Lovely cottage to relax an unwind in. Close walk to Minnamurra falls (a must see) and we were met with a lovely chocolate slice upon arrival. Allison was the perfect host!

Cosy Cottage Stay

We had a lovely stay here. The sounds of the rainforest were very relaxing. Falls cottage instantly felt homely and warm. The hosts are lovely, and they left a delicious cake and breakfast basket which has set them apart from other stays for us. We really enjoyed our time here.

Wonderful getaway spot

We had a fantastic stay at the cottage! The fresh bread, mussels, yoghurt, orange juice and eggs provided made for a wonderful breakfast. The creek behind the cottage was gorgeous and it was so relaxing falling asleep to the creek sounds. So many birds right outside the cottage was also a big plus!

Beautiful quite place for a romantic getaway

On arrival it was easy to find, own gate, The property is very clean and fresh with all amenities supplied, freshly baked walnut cake and fresh mandarins to eat during our stay, listen to the river was very peaceful especially when sleeping at night, the town is also not far away if you do not want to cook your own food, bowling club has delicious Chinese food

Enchanting cottage

Loved the cottage and the location even more so. Attention to detail and furnishing were very appreciated. Lovely couple to meet a deal with ( Lola the family pooch was adorable ) Definitely a place to consider coming back to !

A wonderful stay in a quaint space

Our stay was one of the most enjoyable short breaks we have had. Our host Allison was attentive and friendly and the cottage was outstanding. The proximity to rainforest and the rushing sound of the creek remind city escapers that they are away from home. Would definately recommend it.

Such a peaceful location

A very nicely appointed and spotlessly clean cute little cottage in a lovely spot. Fall asleep to the sound of the babbling brook bedside the cottage and be woken by the sound of the birds. Alison is great host who provides lovely homemade goodies and a fabulous breakfast hamper. The cottage is within walking distance of Minnamurra Falls and rainforest which is well worth a visit. Definitely recommend this place.

Perfection

Such a lovely cottage. So many thoughtful touches. Bread, eggs, milk of choice, fresh scones and cake. Beautiful peaceful garden with a stream beside the cottage. Very close to the national park and Jamberoo village.

What a beautiful stay!

Our stay at the cottage was nothing short of exceptional! The location was a fantastic base for exploring the south coast while escaping the hustle and bustle of the major towns. Minnamurra falls is on the doorstep, with Carrington falls, Kiama and Berry a short drive away. The cottage is very well appointed, Allison has thought of everything you will need for a comfortable stay - right down to the mosquito coils to enjoy listening to the creek outside at night! A must for anyone who wants a relaxing stay, we will be returning to see our little wombat friend in the future!

Peace and tranquility!

The cottage is very well appointed & our hosts very friendly and helpful. The location of the cottage is incredible with the Minnamurra rainforest on the door step & well within driving distance of some beautiful walks, vistas and waterfalls. The garden a wonderful haven to relax and recharge whilst listening to the Kookuburras and the babbling creek behind the cottage. I wish we could have stayed longer! A place that I have no doubt we will return to again and again!

Beautiful Falls Cottage

A wonderful quaint cottage next to beautiful temperate rainforest. Well located to explore the Illawarra, sleep next to a babbling creek and live with superb bird song. Absolutely dedicated owners will go out of their way to make your stay great. A walk to Minnamurra falls is a must. Extremely enjoyable stay.
