  • Young Red Colobus Monkey. Day trips to Jozani are very straight forward. In Stone Town, tours can be booked at the old fort. November is storm season, but it is also Spring here, so there are lots of young creatures around. You have to take a local guide from the Forest information centre and you get walked through the forest. This is not a bad thing, as there are a load of side paths and no signage, so I think getting lost would be pretty straight forward. The other good thing about a network of guides on the ground, is that they find the monkeys easily, meaning you get to spend more time with them, rather than looking for them.

Beach side

The location is perfect, directly on the long, nice and pretty calm Jambiani beach. The hotel has a large garden with flowers and palm trees around the pool area. Some sun beds directly on the beach (with a small fence so vendors not walking straight in) Good breakfast. We had a large basic room eith big bed and huge balcony with excellent sea view.

lovely beach resort with nice pool. Staff is very helpful and attentive. perfect location for long beach walks away from the crowds. WiFi was working well as well as the AC. wish to be back one day :)

Rommene ganske rene, strøm og vann er borte av og til, har ikke safe i rommet. Til frokost kan bare få maks 2 egg ikke mer, vannet må kjøpes til frokost også. Det finnes ikke frokostbuffe, mulig å få 2 egg (kokst, stekt eller omlet) eller panekakke. Servive: de bruker å svare "POLE POLE". Det betyr sakte sakte. Da var service Pole Pole :)

Stedet var som det skulle være. Dejlig pool og udendørs område. Man kan ikke bade der da det er meget lav vandet der. Men en lille tur med en mango båd og så kan man snorkle. Værelser er lidt slidte, men fint. Jambiani er et sted hvor man oplever Afrika på Zanzibar. Fed oplevelser.

Coup de cœur. L'établissement était parfaitement équipé, très bien situé, la piscine est très belle, on a le combo piscine et vue sur la mer qui est à 30 secondes de l'hôtel. Le restaurant de l'hôtel est plutôt bon, même s'il y a des chats affamés qui n'hésitent pas à être agressifs (mais le serveur peut les éloigner). Il y a une bonne ambiance dans l'hôtel, on se sent vraiment en vacances. J'en garde de merveilleux souvenirs et je reviendrai, c'est sûr.

Very laid back place, but assistance is always available at the front desk and at the restaurant. The pool was clean and a nice size. Our room was nice, with great AC and a nice balcony with lounge chairs. It was great for a family of 4. Ocean not great for swimming (lots of seaweed), but great for beach combing (always) and looking for interesting sea life (like itty bitty hermit crabs) during low tide. We had a late evening flight so we stayed that last day until 1800. They even gave us a room to shower in before our shuttle back to the airport. Great massage too.

A l'arrivée, la personne m'a juste montré ma chambre. Aucune info concernant le fonctionnement des choses tel que le bouton pour avoir de l'eau chaude, par exemple. Rien, non plus, sur l'accès à la plage, la piscine, au petit déjeuner. A part me montrer la chambre, rien. Je n'ai même pas eu le temps de lui demander quoique ce soit, elle s'est barrée. Accueil médiocre. Concernant les nuisances également, au loby et à proximité, chacun fait sa vie, rien faire des gens qui essaient tant bien que mal de pouvoir dormir ou de profiter des chants des oiseaux... Toutefois, Piscine et petit dej, biens.

My sister and I had a fantastic holiday at Ifa Beach Resort. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. We book several tours through the hotel and ate most of our meals at the delicious restaurant. The room was very clean and comfortable. The swimming pool was a dream. I highly recommend staying at Ifa Beach Resort on our trip to Jambiani!

Gepflegte, kleine Hotelanlage (12 Zimmer) mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Die Zimmer sind groß und modern gehalten, inklusive Ventilator und Klimaanlage. Die Zimmer sind auf einzelne Bungalows verteilt zwischen Strand und Palmen bzw. Garten. Direkt hinter dem Pool beginnt dann auch schon der (öffentliche) Strand. Aufgrund von Ebbe und Flut ist ein ganztägiges Schwimmen im Meer nicht möglich, jedoch frühmorgens und spätnachmittags. Es wird jeden Morgen ein abwechslungsreiches Frühstück angeboten inkl. frischem Obstteller und frischen Saft. Wer keinen Massentourismus erleben möchte, ist hier gut aufgehoben.

Excellent food at the restaurant, staff and owner very helpful (the owner gave us even a cooking station to cook in our bungalow!), all friendly. Hotel on the beach, very nice swimming pool, and the Jambiani people were very friendly. Our children were playing football with them every evening!

Dårlig ledelse og gode medarbejdere

Overordnet set var vores ophold fantastisk. Det eneste som var problemet, var, at manageren og ejeren slet ikke var til nogen hjælp. Jeg havde booket et double room med balkon med udsigt til resortet, men vi fik et lille værelse med et enkelt lille vindue i stedet. Ingen hjælp var at finde, da manageren ikke var til stede, og ejeren sagde, at han intet med værelserne at gøre. Mit ophold var fra d. 26/3-6/4, og fra den 1/4 skulle poolen renoveres. Det var vi ikke blevet informeret om på forhånd, faktisk kun dagen før, så det var ret dårlig stil, da vi havde valgt hotellet pga pool. De prøvede at bilde os ind, at det havde stået på hotellets hjemmeside længe, men da de skulle “bevise” det for os, var det en video af hjemmesiden, som de havde optaget samme dag (onsdag d. 3/4). Alle andre gæster på hotellet, havde også problemer. Udover det så var servicen af resten af medarbejderne fantastisk. De var alle super søde, hjælpsomme hvor de kunne, og sjove. Hotellet var pænt og rent med charmerende værelser. Ville dog vælge at komme tilbage en anden gang.

Superb stay.

Really nice modest cost beach resort. Staff quickly fixed a couple shortcomings in our room. Lovely pool, nice shaded areas. Nourshing brekkies. Restaurant a bit of a disappointment, chef needs more training, especiall in cooking fish. Overall, great value in lovelly setting.

Exceeded Expectation

IFA Beach resort/ hotel far exceeded our expectations.....we have travelled alot and stayed in many resorts/hotels and we can genuinely say that this is one of our best hotels we've stayed in especially when it comes to value for money.... What is evident from the resort is that their efforts are to create an environment for their guest to totally enjoy their stay and we can say that we felt it totally, what was also evident was that ALL staff are treated well behind the scene as you'll see they love their job... The one and only disappointing thing is we only stayed four nights and travelled north of Zanzibar, IFA Beach resort set the standard so high that the resort we booked into was so poor in comparison. Would I recommend IFA Beach Resort...100% yes... Be assured you can expect a return visit next time we are in Zanzibar..

отель со всем необходимым, на первой линии, приветливый персонал, красивая территория. рекомендую. есть некоторые моменты, но думаю, что они носят временный характер: не работал вечером ресторан, приходилось ходить в другие отели, но это не проблема. без ужина не оставались) отсутствие телевидения, но тоже не катастрофа!
