"We were able to bring our dog. Heads up: if you book on Expedia, they will require you to pay a $20 pet fee in cash. We don’t carry cash, so we had to walk over to the gas station next door in the pitch dark to get cash back. So bring cash. There was a very lush green patch of grass to walk your dog. Just beware that other owners may not be so great at picking up after their pets. The worst part is the bed and the pillows at this place. The bed was hard, and there was only one very flat pillow per person. I ended up balling up two jackets to use as a pillow in order to get any sleep in this place. I also kind of got the vibe that people live in this motel. I kind of felt like I was walking through someone else’s neighborhood."

"Exceeded expectations on every level. I booked my stay to facilitate some business in Bakersfield & ended up extending my stay to enjoy all the amenities available here… The host(s) make amazing neighbors & were extremely responsive to any questions or needs. I enjoyed the comfort and classy style of the loft & yard (especially the hot tub with the amazing views of the scenery) and wish I had longer to hike & explore the incredible creeks, mountains, caves, & views from the surrounding peaks.Looking forward to next time I’m in the area again so I can return for another experience at the loft!"
