"I had a really nice three night getaway on Jekyll. Tommy, the host, was a great communicator, letting me know as soon as I booked what to expect, not only about the property but also about the island - the daily parking fee, the limited shopping, and so forth. He answered all my questions promptly. The property was exactly as described in the listing - beautiful ocean view from the master bedroom balcony and windows. The location of the villa is superb- an end unit with no one above or below, with easy access to the beach access and to the pool. The villa was perfect for my purposes of R&R close to the beach. Tommy alerted me that the beach at Villas by the Sea disappears at high tide, but the Villas are adjacent to beautiful Driftwood Beach and a short drive to Oceanview Beach Park, which offers a wide beach, ample parking, and nice, clean restrooms. There have been some updates to the villa; the bathroom shower stall is very nice as is the flooring throughout. I found the queen bed in the master quite comfortable. The kitchen appliances are older but in good working order and the cookware appears to be pretty new. Lots of towels! There were three beach towels that appeared new but are child-sized. One folding beach chair that’s seen better days. The chairs on the master balcony are metal; I used towels to cushion them. The decor is basic but the furniture is comfy. I got just what I needed. Very pleased!"
