Tranquil 1-bedroom small cabin. Jemez Valley with hot springs, hikes, nite skies
4/10 Poor
"Russ was very kind and helpful. The cabin/bedroom was tidy. My fault for not noticing that bathroom and kitchen were described as being communal.
Are about 25 feet away from the cabin. Toilet uses sand not water for flushing "
"Our trip was family getaway for a memorial service, and this was just what we needed. River access was great, and it was lovely having breakfast/coffee outside. We loved the large patio and the fun things the house had to offer: ping pong, games and movie screen. Any questions were quickly answered. Close to the village yet felt pretty private. I would recommend - thank you!"
Cozy Weekend Getaway! Enjoy many things in the surrounding area!
10/10 Excellent
"We enjoyed our stay in this peaceful home. The location was great for us to explore sites in the Jemez Mountains and the Valles Caldera National Preserve. The home was clean and comfortable and offered everything we needed. "
"The property has two living areas, a large house and a small casita. The house had at least four gathering areas, a beautiful open kitchen, a large room with a ping pong table, fireplace, and two couches, a game room with a fold out couch, apool table, darts, and TV, two bunkbed bedrooms with 3 bunks in each. Large queen-size air-beds and some smaller ones. Our large gathering of 15 had a great time spreading out in all these spaces. The grilling area and fire pit were very popular. We stayed four nights. The pines around the property are beautiful and birdwatching and squirrel watching was fun. Really a great area for stargazing too. The scent of the pines was good all the time but nothing beat it after an afternoon rain shower. Definitely would go again!"
The Alpaca Barnhaus in the Jemez Mountains-Quiet & Comfortable at 8700'
10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful stay at the Alpaca Haus. Mickey was very communicative and ensured that we had everything we needed. Everything was as listed and a great location to explore neighboring areas: Jemez, Valles Caldera, Bandelier and more. "
"This cabin is nestled high in the Jemez Mountains in a small neighborhood surrounded by national forest. The trails around the cabin are excellent whether you step out of the cabin for a hike or drive to one of the many trailheads along Highway 4. The area around the cabin was very quiet during my wife and I's weeklong stay. The kitchen was well stocked for meal preparation and the cabin was quite comfortable for sleeping and lounging after a long day of hiking. I would recommend it for people wanting to get a way from busy everday life!"
