"This is a very lovely and with great staff. The room was really nice with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was very good too. My room was upstairs and it was away from everything which felt a bit unusual. Breakfast was nice but very limited range. They use personal WhatsApp ads a way to communicate which I thought was a great idea. My main concern was the location I didn’t like it as it was isolated from the main area and in an area that was very local. It also had a lot of motorcycle noise from the race track. And the dining area is weird no one seems to use I they all eat in their room and so the place really had little vibe. By the way the pool is huge and I enjoyed that. "

"Absolutely amazing stay at the resort! Would highly recommend for families, staff can’t do enough to ensure you have a lovely time. They always go above and beyond. Also so accommodating with young kids and are so helpful. They also helped organise so many trips for us. "We had a great stay at Sikara, the staff were amazing and the room was perfect to come home to after a day of exploring. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Location is very good, close to plenty of cafes, restaurants and shops. "

"Breathtaking Location, Warm Staff – But Needs Improvement in Comfort and Value Jiva Baluam is set in a truly stunning location nestled in a secluded bay with a private beach that feels like your own paradise. The natural beauty is overwhelming, and the bungalows are located right on the sand. It’s a place where you can fully disconnect and enjoy nature. However, the resort is very remote – there are no alternative dining options within 30 minutes, so you’re fully dependent on the in-house restaurant. Unfortunately, the food quality doesn’t justify the high prices. The Indonesian breakfast (like Nasi Goreng) was okay, but the Western breakfast was quite disappointing in both taste and presentation. The resort has been around for over ten years and is beginning to show signs of age. Some renovations would definitely enhance the guest experience. The bungalows are charming, but not well-equipped: there’s no fridge, which is a real downside given the isolation, especially since cold drinks from the restaurant are very expensive. Also, there’s no kettle – as an early riser, I found it frustrating that I couldn’t have tea or coffee until the restaurant opened at 8 a.m. On the bright side, the staff are wonderfully kind and helpful, and the WiFi is excellent surprisingly strong for such a remote location. In summary, Jeeva Baluam offers a magical natural setting and warm hospitality, but it would benefit greatly from thoughtful upgrades and a more guest-friendly infrastruct,"
