Be a King at King David

Only stayed here one night while on a 10 day trip in Israel. This place was amazing when you compare it to all the other places we stayed. At King David you live like a King!

Old world history

One week stay in the king David was a pleasurable experience. The staff was exceptional and helpful. The hotel has old world charm and an unbelievable history. Just walking though the halls shows the history of Israel and the different diplomats that stayed throughout the years. Would definitely stay there again!

Fabulous way to experience Jerusalem

We spent six nights at the king David hotel and must say it was a terrific experience. The staff was very attentive and the food was amazing in all the restaurants and the Shabbat experience was wonderful. The room was quite comfortable and clean and the King size bed was really nice. We will definitely stay at this hotel on our next visit to Jerusalem.

10 Star Hotel

From the checkin until departure I couldn't find one bad thing about this hotel. The entire staff was far above par and the historical features are fascinating. This is a 10 star hotel and I won't stay anywhere else when in Jerusalem.

This is the best hotel in Israel! The service from the staff is superb, and the hotel itself is an historical attraction (I highly recommend the tour with Ron!). The hotel lies very central, and even though it is downtown Jerusalem, it is quiet. It is just a short walk to the Old City, and many of the museums lies in walking distance to the hotel. I also recommend eating dinner in the hotel restaurant, with the Old City in the background.

Used to be something. The thrill is long gone

This hotel indeed used to be the place to stay in Jerusalem. Sadly this is no longer the case. The hotel itself is still a beautiful building. The rooms are comfortable and lovely. The service however is non- existent. The food is substandard. The breakfast buffet is massive but the quality is no longer there. The other restaurants that we ate at while at the hotel suffer the same fate- pretty to look at but the taste of the food and the service are terrible. This hotel has a long way to go to win back my five star ratings. I am now looking for a new place to stay in Jerusalem.

Sabbath in Jerusalem

There was a disconnect between Hotels.com, Dan Hotels, and the King David. My reservation, while received by Dan Hotels, was not forwarded to the Kind David. I was told that this occurred because it was Friday (Sabbath Eve). To make up for this, Ramzi, one of the managers, upgraded me to a suite. The suite was clean and the hotel's house keeping was impeccable. They also sent fruit and stocked my mini bar with soft drinks, which I felt was a nice touch. Classy place, but the Inbal offers a better breakfast. Pleasant stay, helpful staff, but not worth spending the $500 per night.

Be treated like a king!

Amazing hotel. Great service and location. The entire staff knew my name as well as when I checked in and when I will be checking out. On the day I arrived there was a fruit basket and 2 coffee cakes waiting for me in the room. Same on the night before check out but this time there was a bottle of wine and a hand-painted wooden box compliments of the hotel. I stayed in a newly renovated room which had Mirror Image - a TV in the bathroom's large mirror above the sinks. I watched the US Open while I was brushing my teeth. There's also a mirror int he shower wall. The breakfast is remarkable. Eggs, of course, vegetables, a fruit juicing station with luscious, colorful fruits that lure you in with their refreshing aroma. The pool is great too. Exotic plants surround it. Lounges are set far enough apart so you're not on top of your neighbor. The hotel is steps away from the Mamila Mall and a 15 minute walk to Ben Jehuda Street. I had a great time. It's the only hotel for me in Jerusalem.
