Very helpful & sociable staff. Hotel location is s great advantage to access shopping at Jaffa street, tram transport, the kotel is a walkable 20mins. Hospitality is second to none.

The friendly hotel is in an exceptionally good and central location, a 15-minute walk from the Jaffa Gate, restaurants and a small 24/7 supermarket just 3 minutes away on Jaffa street. The hotel manager personally organized a day tour for us twice, everything worked out wonderfully.

Get what you pay for…

We stayed here two times. Excellent location. The first (room 13) was good, the AC worked well and it was relatively quiet and comfortable. Our second night in room 12 was terrible. The AC did not work and there was no hot water in the morning. We did get a bargain both times, $50 and $65 respectively. Not sure I’d stay here again, likely because the price was artificially low due to lack of tourism at the current moment. I’m sure they’ll be charging more once the regional conflicts come to an end. The gentleman working the desk was kind and hospitable.

Do not be mislead this is a 1 star hotel

We booked this hotel a month in advance because of the convenient location to the center of town and the low price (normal price for a 3 star hotel). Unfortunately, we showed up and this was anything but a 3 star hotel. The receptionist was watching tv in a different room and no one was there to see us in. All the sheets had hair on them and the towels smelled disgusting. The AC did not work. The blinds were broken. Our room smells like cigarettes and there was no screen on the window so when we opened it mosquitos came in. We came back late at night and the door was locked. No one had told us there was a code we needed and we were locked out. PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE!! Do not br fooled by the price, its not worth it.

It’s was dirty and smelled. They don’t wash the bed sheets or have clean towels. We had a crazy neighbor threatening us in the hotel about noise when we ere walking back to our room.

Fiquei hospedado no Hotel Malka, em Jerusalém, e recomendo fortemente. Quartos simples, mas muito limpos, cama confortável, chuveiro ótimo e tudo funcionando bem. A equipe é atenciosa, sempre pronta para ajudar com orientações sobre a cidade e transporte. A localização é excelente: dá para ir caminhando até a Cidade Velha e ao bondinho leve, com mercados, cafés e restaurantes bem próximos. Para quem quer conhecer Jerusalém com praticidade, segurança e bom custo-benefício, o Malka é uma escolha que eu repetiria sem dúvida.
