4/5 Good
"This place was OK. I would like to see improvements in staff training to make other peoples stays more pleasant.
Staff was not aware of our Expedia reservations and were pretty confident the hotel did not have such arrangement.
Staff was also not able to produce receipts for room payments and that immediately caused issues. There does not appear to be any record keeping of these transactions. So much so on the last day I was re-imbursed for 3 nights (I thought I paid for 4 nights), because I saw on my online bank statement a payment of 4 nights related to this Expedia reservation. At that time I was being charged twice and the hotel was not aware of this. It took a day to untangle the issue.
Also the hotel staff seems to have gone off script while checking us in (my wife and I). It was the 4th hotel in Algeria we were staying in, and the only one insisting on us presenting a "Family Booklet". Both my wife and I had US passports with the same last name, and I also had my algerian passport as I am a dual citizen. Hotel staff was trying to enforce some obscure rule. Needless to say the stay was pleasant and none of these issues impacted our enjoying the visit."
