Wonderful stay

The place is quite, comfy, has nice views, and great amenities. We particularly liked the fire place. It's within 20-30 minutes drive to wonderful hikes in the Outway park and Apollo bay.

Excellent all rounder, family stay with two young children. Most gorgeous beaches nearby which are not thronged unlike others on Great Ocean Road, forests in other direction, quiet, what more would you want.

Brilliant View

Nice self-contained cottage with just everything you need. Clean and Tidy. The ceiling-to-floor windown gives you a brilliant view of the garden in he morning and a sky filled with stars at night. Perfect.

The owners are super friendly and great to deal with. We have to say we were a bit thrown when we saw the actual size of the cabins, a lot smaller in real life. The photos are a bit old (taken when they were new). The view of the ocean is now hidden by trees and it’s a long way away. We were depending on WIFI to do our research and planning for our stay in the otways (there is only Telstra mobile available in the area, which we don’t have) but their WiFi went from very poor to nothing at all for most of our stay. The boomerang designed cabins may sound novel but in reality it meant for some odd shaped rooms. The double bed barely fitted in our room and one side was inaccessible. The bathroom was located at the other end of the boomerang which was inconvenient. We had a 5th person who was set up on a cot in the main living space which has no blinds or curtains. The early morning sun slapped them in the face. The views are great though, and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything you’d need. As the price is the same as some nicer resorts we have stayed at around Australia we aren’t inclined to return but it was generally a good experience.

A gem of a place in Johanna

Absolutely brilliant stay in Johanna, especially while on a Great Ocean Rd road trip. Perfect location, great accommodation, nice views, and close to the lovely Johanna Beach. The cottage was spacious, welcoming, clean, tidy and had all the self-contained kitchen amenities you'd ever need to cook up a feast. We particularly enjoyed the spa and the crackling fireplace - a great combination in winter! Ros & Mark were amazing, friendly and so kind to mail us back two items that we had accidentally left behind. Thanks so much, can't wait to come back again.

Great hotel along the Great Ocean Road

After a 4 hour drive from Melbourne we were glad to stop. The Boomerangs offer great accommodation in quiet surrounds with beautiful views just minutes from the Ocean. Hannah the dog also makes sure you have a welcome arrival.

Cottages in a quiet, rural setting.

Lovely cottages offering privacy in a beautiful setting. It was very cold while we were there but we had a great stock of firewood on hand as well as air conditioning. We had a bottle of bubbly waiting for us in the fridge.
