Pineapple Beach Club Antigua - Adults Only – All Inclusive
8/10 Good
"Pros: Great location. Very easy check in. Snorkeling off the beach very good. Staff almost exclusively very friendly and helpful. Lots to do if you want. Nice beach. Nice pool setup. Grounds interesting and pleasant. Judith in the restaurant an absolute pleasure. Kwon for pool aerobics fantastic. Beds great. Lots of hot water for showers. AC in the beachfront rooms make it sub zero. Easy à la carte reservation process easy. Nightly entertainment. Never a time when food unavailable. Coffee shop really nice-clean. Coffee drinks nice. Courtesy showers a nice touch. Breakfast was very good, arguably the best meal of the three. Monkey bread!
Cons are few. Beachfront room 113/115 are adjoining and the 113 is a smaller room and a shared deck which is not great. Grill was out of some things for the entire week we were there. While food taste is very subjective, and most things were good, baked goods were generally without flavor. Desserts hit and miss.
More generally. Cab from the airport the easiest and regulated fare. Takes about 30 minutes
Walk to Devils Bridge doable and worth while. Expect a little bit of elevation change and the walk itself not particularly scenic. 3 miles rt or so
If you want shade anywhere (pool, beach) and it’s generally desirable, have to get there early. Claims are staked to be sure. That said, there are plenty of chairs, just not shaded. "
"My wife and I went for a romantic, quiet getaway and we definitely got that and more! What a beautiful place! We really didn’t think we would use the plunge pool as much as we did but it was great. Having the room at the very end helped in our feeling off on our own.
The food was great, lots of variety and different delicious flavours. Some dinners the portions were quite small and the afternoon tea options were kind of laughable with how little variety there was. I would have liked the option to order small simple meals through the in between times.
Staff were very helpful in setting up excursions and answering any of our questions, rooms were neat and tidy.
Overall it was a great experience and would recommend to anyone looking for a remote, quiet getaway. If you are looking for a bustling, busy resort this one definitely is not for you. But it was perfect for us!"
Royalton CHIC Antigua, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort – Adults Only
10/10 Excellent
"My stay at the Chic Royalton was amazing check in and out was seamless with great help with front desk clerk Aja! She was a Gem and made my stay memorable. The room upon check did smell mildewing but staff acted immediately to accommodate and the food from the coffee shop was good, buffet was mediocre, Vespa’s had the best food option and Olympus appetizer were really good!! Hunt steak was underwhelming and food came out warm and took a while. Overall experience was 8/10 highly recommended. All inclusive food isn’t always the best so explore options off of the resort to maximize experience in Antigua. "
"The room views are great, especially the rooms higher up the hill. Everyone was very polite. The rooms and common areas were always clean. Service was slow at times, and fine at times. Island time I guess. The beach was not crowded and there were no vendors hassling you near the resort area. The food was decent, but we had better venturing out to some other restaurants. Good enough when you wanted to remain at the resort. It seems like this was designed to be adults only, but there were some kids around. Overall, it is as advertised and one of the nicer places. Glad we stayed there. "
COCOS Hotel - Adults Only - Caters to Couples - All Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful resort with access to such an incredible turquoise water. The views from around the resort were absolutely stunning! I loved their food - every meal had great presentation! Very attentive service, staff constantly asking if you need anything. My husband’s birthday was on the last day of our trip. The restaurant staff provided absolutely beautiful table filled with fresh flowers and bottle of champagne, without even knowing what time we will show up. That was really beautiful surprise. We loved the “romantic vibe” of this resort. It provided very intimate, quiet and relaxing time for me and my husband. It is a village style resort, so definitely some walking is required. Rooms are private houses on the hill. Little outdated but clean and comfortable.
We will definitely be back with our friends. I strongly recommend this place to anyone. "
