"We stayed 2 nights starting on May 9, 2024. We were looking for a peaceful retreat, and this place was it! The Sol Duc River was absolutely beautiful and provided the solitude we desired. Take a chair down by the river and watch for the red-tailed hawk to swoop in for a meal. Bring your binoculars! "We enjoyed spending New Years at Lake Sutherland! There is a lot to do nearby even in the winter, and the house is lovely. We enjoyed the hot tub in the evening and watching the fog roll in and out of the lake. The house is very well outfitted and was great for two couples. We all thought the beds were comfortable, too. "This was our first time to the Pacific Northwest. We stayed here at the suggestion of friends and it was just lovely. The cabin has several little touches that made it a perfect place for our little family. I am glad we went to the cabin before purchasing groceries so we could see what was already there. Our one 'not so great' thing was how close the cabin is to the highway. We did hear cars early in the morning, so it's not quite as secluded as we thought. Don't let that deter you from staying....

"Eagles nest was amazing. The view couldn’t be better and the cabin was perfect for my fiancé and I. Even though it is located off the highway, the vehicle noise was drowned out by the beautiful mountainside and lake. We had a sedan so we didn’t feel comfortable going down the hill with it however there was parking above that worked great. The property is central to several parks and amenities. Would stay again."

"Had a great time at this property. It is clean and close to Port Angeles. Don is a great host and neighbor and it was fun to see his Australian Shepherd in the morning before heading into the park. I would suggest this property for my friends and family."

The property is well thought out, includes considerate extras, like laundry detergent, paper towels, salt, pepper, etc. Perfect size for our family of three. Amazing location. We walked to the grocery, to the ferry line for a day trip to Victoria, and to many shops and restaurants. All in all could not ask for anything more!"
