"Safari House had plenty of space for our family of five. While not in the heart of Stone Town, it wasn't a far walk (10 min) to get there. Romaine, our host, was quite accommodating. The power and water shut off in the morning and he was over immediately to fix it (we didn't realize it was on a timer and was an easy fix). He also allowed us to store our luggage there after checkout time while we went out for a bit before our flight home. "

"PLEASE BE AWARE. This place overbooks clients so when you arrive they say there is NO reservation under your name. Then they send you to another location of much lower quality. People at the new location confirmed that they do this all the time. It is not a mistake but rather a scam. I left that second location and was lucky to find a nice hotel nearby for the same price. "We stayed in the Freddy Mercury suites which are ideally located....everything you need is within walking distance. The room was clean and bright and had everything we needed. What made our stay enjoyable was the staff... friendly, helpful and always with a smile on their face. The breakfast buffet was wonderful, had something for everyone - you certainly didn't leave hungry. Would definitely recommend this property for your visit to Stone Town."
