"Room was nice, desk, waitress and cleaning staff friendly, but the restaurant and food quality needs a lot of improvement. Sent one meal back, and desert took 40mins to arrive for a chocolate brownie after asking twice. Cutlery also could benefit from a polish!! "

"Great location and the staff were very helpful and welcoming. The room itself was ok, a bit tired and in need of a refresh, it was clean and the bed comfy. I’d say breakfast wasn’t cooked to order purely by the speed it appeared, it was standard English breakfast, though felt one rasher of bacon and one sausage was a bit of a poor show, when you generally get two of each of those items elsewhere. It was however decent quality. The selection of cereals and pastries was good, the Greek yoghurt creamy, the croissants were a tad small. Overall cost, location, amenities and staff mean I’d stay again"

"Check in was smooth and easy, clean, well lit corridors. Room was spacious if a tad dated. Spotlessly clean. Ample Car Parking. Lovely bar area. Restaurant good. Typical Pub Grub that was served piping hot and with a smile from the staff. Would we stay again while visiting family? Absolutely we would!! "

"Ideally located just off the M65. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Room was clean and tidy with a tea/coffee making facility. Free wi-fi was easily accessible. Pub/restaurant next to the accommodation building had a great selection of beers and a comprehensive menu. Breakfast was served in the pub/restaurant. Great selection from continental to full english."

"Check-in was easy, staff was friendly and helpful. Room was small with stains on the carpet and marks on the wall - not great. Evening meal was very good in terms of quality. Not great was serving time and overall state of chairs and tables. Chairs were absolutely uncomfortable and tables wabbly in restaurant and breakfast room. Parking was OK, but road into property is full of potholes."

"Stinky room with smell of fungus, strange check-in questions - declarations for lost items and asking for taking photo of ID. Breakfast - just brought plate without asking what I actually want to have for full English?? This place is not good - cannot recommend. One bright spot was easy parking. "

"Only slept at the hotel so can't comment on anything else. Reception staff were pleasant and efficient, check in was quick. Room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. My room faced onto the road and was a little noisy from traffic late in the evening (it may just have been one man driving round and round noisily). When I opened the bathroom door there was a very strong smell of disinfectant/bleach which took some time to dissipate."

"We had a great 4-night stay at this lovely cottage. Amazing views, clean facilities, clear instructions and an overall smooth experience right from the beginning until the end. "
