"House is clean, well-maintained, fully equipped, and right on the beach. Esterillos Oeste is a nice beach village with several restaurants and a nice grocery store. We don’t surf but the local surf break appears to be right out front and the tide pools are a short walk. The outdoor shower was great to rinse off with after a day at the beach and the pool was perfect for our boys to play in. The host was extremely responsive with all of our questions. We had an amazing time with our 4 boys and really couldn’t have asked for a better experience. "

"Is a nice small hotel, good parking lot, good slow EV charger. Swimming pool is small, but water is crystal clear, jacuzzy without hot water, but it's not cold though. Rooms are good size, clean and modern. It is not front beach, and you need to walk for it. You need a car if you want to go for beach, restaurants or places out of the hotel, 10 min rides. Breakfast is awesome, typical and good portions, restaurant is kind of limited, but chef knows his art. The best of it was the staff, young commited people to solve anything you needed, Nelsie and Mariana at front desk, and Yarid at restaurant works the extra mile to make you feel at home. "

"If you are looking for a vacation, this is the spot. You have miles of coastline almost to yourself and boogie boards, flippers, towels, chairs and beach toys all provided. The locals are friendly - we did surf lessons and a turtle release with Jorge from Aloha Surf (right on the entrance road). The housekeeper is wonderful - she hung hammocks daily, provided us with coconuts to drink and made dinner for us one evening (for a resonance fee). Each bedroom has an AC unit too."

"We had an amazing time. The house has a local host, Jennie, who was incredibly fun, kind and helpful. We loved seeing the local wildlife (macaws, iguanas, crabs, we heard there was a sloth across from the market but didn't see that one) and local pets, including a nearby pony. The kids adored that part of the stay. The beach was fabulous, the water was warm and great for surfing (several rental shops in biking distance) and boogie boarding (the house had several)--there could be strong currents, but Jessica (the owner) warned us in advance. The beach was also nearly empty; it felt like a private beach! The pool was a great temperature, not cold at all but still refreshing and perfect and well-maintained. The sheets were all soft, the kitchen is well-stocked even including an air fryer. The upstairs patio was perfect for sitting together and enjoying the incredible ocean view. We enjoyed dinners and card games under the gazebo. The local host Jennie and Mendoza also knew great local seafood, caught that day, and helped translate to get fish for some great meals. There is a local market in walking or biking distance, and one about 15-20 minutes away where we found specialty things, even some vegetarian protien and gluten free options. The air conditioning is units in each bedroom; there isn't any in the kitchen/main areas. We found this totally fine, but may be helpful to set your expectations if you love AC."

"Group of 3 friends traveled there looking for an inexpensive and quiet place to make base. This was the perfect place; wonderful views, macaws and iguanas everywhere, and a short walk to the beach. Highly recommend!"

"We had an absolute wonderful stay! The house was perfect for our families, plenty of space and the AC in the bedrooms was almost too cold! The view from upper deck is unreal and macaws fly over everyday! The beach is just a short walk and the kids enjoyed the tidal pool. We loved the location and close to most of the tours but yet not in the crowded areas! The host was exceptional at helping us book all tours and chef services! The property manager Fabian was a pleasure! The owners have multiple properties in the area and even allowed us to hang at their beach house on Jaco Beach while the kids surfed! And they have a Castle with monkeys we even got a private tour! We lucked out booking with this host as they made our first experience in Costa Rica unforgettable! "
