"The listing failed to state that an expensive cleaning fee would apply and we were advised of this by the hotel after the cancellation period had ended. This was challenged but the hotel continued to insist that it needed to be paid and that it was advised (despite it not being in the listing or the confirmation email). Hotels.com had to get involved via an escalated complaint. The check in experience was also poor as the keys were not in the lock safe. This was resolved. Despite this the...

"A bijou property that was originally a bridge house with views across the canal. There is heat which was needed as cold this week. Unfortunately there is traffic noise. There is no sink in bathroom but we squeezed the shower gel to cover our hands and then washed our hands in the bedroom sink. There are cupboards for clothes and cups, plates, cutlery and hairdryer. If you like different you will enjoy this experience."

"This is a remotely operated aparthotel with an online reception and electronic key sent directly to your mobile phone. Located on a residential street on the edge of town, but still a short walk from the main town and the beach. Very high spec rooms and bathroom with loads of space. If you don't need the benefits of a full service hotel, this is a great option."

"When I arrived the heating wasn't on and probably hadn't been for a while. I put it on and cranked it up, but the room didn't get warm enough through the whole night and the sheets were damp and horrible. I had to lie with all my clothes on. It still wasn't warm enough the next day. I had booked for three nights, but left after one. This was in November, it's probably nicer in the summer. "

"What an awesome accommodation for my last few nights in Amstedam.
The unit has everything you need, and is close to the tram line to Centraal Station. It also has an amazing shower and was beautifully climate controlled for the warm days.
You do get some tram noise in the morning, but your hosts will graciously provide you were earplugs. Highly recommend staying here."

"Quite the unusual place to stay…very unique.
Comfortable bed…plan on climbing some stairs for bathroom and kitchen, but all in all quite comfortable.
Restaurants within walking distance. Enjoy!"

"The apartment/hotel room was great. Sitting right on the canal. A couple minute walk from the closest tram station. Everything you need was a couple minutes away."

"We loved staying at this unique place!
Awesome views and lots of activity around.
Restaurants, Grocery Stores and Tram very close.
This will be a place you will always remember.
The early luggage storage hotel clerks were very friendly and accommodating.
We’d definitely love to stay at Sweets again. "

"Honestly, the first 36 hours of arriving our room had a stench of septic tank and my nose could not adjust for that long. My twin bed felt like I was sleeping on a boxspring. Other than that, staff is very friendly, hotels clean, amenities are great. This hotel is in a good location to the train stations."
"Room was clean and we were given a free upgrade to a suite. Everything in the mini bar was free of charge and there was a good selection of coffees and teas. Room was beautiful and overlooked the canal."
"the schedule of the shuttle bus should be reviewed.. the bus at 1102pm was packed and the passengers have to wait for 30 minutes for the next bus.. there was pushing and screaming inside the bus.."
"Staff was extremely helpful and welcoming. Location was super convenient. Breakfast had lots of options and tasty. Room was extremely small to an uncomfortable degree for 2 people to use and get ready in. Rooms were adjoining and the neighbors were very loud partying until 3am and there was no room phone to call the front desk to complain about this. Unlikely to return"
