Also, we got real keys- it’s been a long time since I’ve had an actual key so that was fun!! Most of the staff I spoke to spoke limited English, and I speak just a little Japanese so, just be ready to use your Japanese skills! :)"

The nearby shrine is worth a visit, and the train station is only a short walk for those without a car. I would like to visit again!"

"The property has a pretty environment and has a nice view of the Matsushima bay area. It offers tasty meals with a good variety of food and beverages. Unfortunately the room that I was assigned, while has a nice view, is right next to the railway tracks with trains frequently passing. No information about the railway tracks were provided in the process of booking online, I believe Expedia should alert customers to state clearly their request for a quiet room away from the railway. The property should also consider installing double glazed windows for the rooms affected. Should I be staying for more than one night, I would request a change of rooms."
