"This is a bottom unit in a two building combo setup where the swimming pool area is next to the building very easily walked to next door. The condo itself is very impersonal and clearly just fixed up for sale. Lots of toys in laundry room for beach - a good one I think if you have kids. The location is very nice for snorkeling which is the prime feature in that area. So not luxurious but just fine."

"We had a great stay at the Whalehouse! Nancy was very responsive before, during, and after our stay. The Whalehouse was very clean and organized. Everything we needed was provided. It is has beach access and is close to the shops, restaurants, and everything in between. We would definitely stay here again!"

"This was a quick layover before heading to the other side of the island for our son’s wedding. We enjoyed being tucked into the tropical setting g bit still a quick walk to the beach. Really adorable place, clean and comfortable. As with many island accommodations there were only fans and breezes through open windows. And there were fun critters to keep us company."

"All went well except for the elevator not working, but that was due to Lala a few days earlier. Also they should warn that the entrance code expires on the minute at checkout so if you inadvertently close the door with a suitcase still inside you are in trouble. It would be better if management reached out on checkout morning."

"Terrific owners who clearly take pride in offering a wonderful property. The property was generously stocked with household necessities and outdoor toys. Duane stayed in close contact to ensure all went well especially considering the storm that hit the Big Island during our stay. Fortunately, Kailua-Kona was spared the worst of hurricane Lala.As advertised, the location is excellent with the beach across the street and Kona just a few minutes away. Mahalo Duane & Cheri"

"We had a great stay! The condo was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. The best part was the location—we were right across the street from Kahaluʻu Beach, with some of the best snorkeling just steps away. It was so nice being able to snorkel and then walk right back to the condo.We arrived the day after the hurricane, so the parks were closed for part of our stay, but we made the best of it and did some shopping and explored the area. L&L Hawaiian BBQ nearby became a frequent stop for us—great food, inexpensive, and perfect for takeout. We also enjoyed Taco Tuesday at the taco shop near Magic Sands Beach.Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Having great snorkeling, beaches, food, and everything we needed so close by made this a fantastic location."
