Direct Ocean View in the Heart of Kailua-Kona/ At startline for Ironman!

  • Kona Plaza, located right in the heart of Kailua-Kona, is a quiet and private condominium building within walking distance of everything you want to do in Kona. Just across the street, you can go to the beach, the pier, shopping, and to the best restaurants in town. This condo unit (303) is located on the third floor overlooking beautiful Kailua Bay with a direct ocean view.

    Totally remodeled in 2018, the condo has one bedroom with a new King sized bed and a very comfortable new queen size foldout couch and a new Murphy/queen bed in the living room (sleeps 2-6 people). Blow up mattresses are also available if the kids/adults want to sleep on the lanai (Our boys love sleeping outdoors on the lanai). The condo has recently been completely renovated and redecorated in a tropical and comfortable island style. It includes a fully equipped kitchen for cooking (new dishwasher) as well as a washer/dryer inside the unit.

    Guests of Kona Plaza unit 303 can enjoy the onsite salt water (no chlorine) pool, sun decks, BBQ area (steps away), and secure onsite underground garage parking. Nearby, you will find additional shops, art galleries, beach apparel stores, hair salons, spas, jewelry stores, and great restaurants. Perfect location for tourists or seasoned travelers.

    This location is perfect for the World Championship Ironman Triathlon. You can watch the swimming portion of the competition from the lanai or one of the sundecks and the marathon (on Ali'i Dr) from the lanai as well. Spinner Dolphins jump out front for your entertainment almost daily! The huge sound reduction sliding glass doors out to the lanai overlook Ali'i Drive and the ocean and block out any noise. The glass sliding doors are made of soundproof glass and provide a very quiet experience for everyone in the unit. Central building air conditioning is provided, with a new controller for more accurate and comfortable climate control.

Excellent location with shops restaurants and a good swimmable beach all within a couple of blocks. Modest lodgings but the bed was very comfortable and a lot of amenities provided.

The property was exactly as described, close to everything in town, and stocked with everything you could need. The Lanai was wonderful for meals and provides a wonderful view of the ocean. Our host Mary communicated very clearly and was quick to reply when we had questions.We had a wonderful trip and will definitely consider staying here again.

Great location

Mary was an amazing host and we really enjoyed our stay. We have stayed at the kona Plaza several times and this unit has everything you need. I will definitely stay here again.

Home away from home

Lots of little amenities you would never realize you needed, made it feel like home. Good walking distance from shops and shore.

View from room was amazing. they had everything you could need from kitchen supplies to beach chairs, beach towels, snorkleing gear and more. we had 4 people and we used the murphy bed and the fold out couch. we needed to rearrange the furniture to make it work but it worked. Loved being so close to town and within walking distance to restaurants and bars.

Perfect stay in downtown Kona

We loved this condo! Great views of the ocean & so close to shops, restaurants, & the water! The condo was clean & had most everything you need to enjoy the area! Very quiet & friendly tenants! We had a great trip!

Great location

We had a great stay! Mary was very responsive, and her condo was very well stocked with beach equipment and other condo necessities. She even let us check in a bit early since it was vacant the day we arrived.

Great location- walkable to everything Kona has to offer.

Best spot in Kona

We had a blast here. Walking distance to the water, restaurants, shopping centers and more. Mary is a very generous host and provided us with everything we needed to enjoy our trip. Above and beyond. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the Kona area.

This was a fantastic property right in the heart of historic Kailua-Kona. I cannot believe how close it was to the palace! Mart has thought of everything! Just pack a bathing suit and you are set!

Kailua Kona Kindness

Great location with included parking right in the middle of restaurants, shops, and beachfront. Owner very responsive to all requests. Property well stocked for all needs. Would definitely return!

We enjoyed our stay here! The host was great at replying to questions i had before trip. Her directions for check in and out were great. The condo was clean, well stocked ( i personally loved the ice machine!) eating our meals on -large lanai was great with a beautiful view!! We never used pool as we went to beaches instead. The bed in bedroom was comfortable! We were able to walk to restaurants in area and checkout shops! We thought it was a good area. Looking forward to going back again!!

This was the most organized and well stocked condo we have stayed. My adult son and I travel to the Big Island every year to snorkel and the location and amenties were fantastic. Loved the location and pleased that it was quiet despite the proximity to Ali'i drive. Sleeping arrangements were very comfortable and the best air conditioning set up of any place we have stayed. We bring our own snorkel gear because we like ours but this condo has all the snorkel equipment available for many people. The host is very communicative and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

This was a fantastic place to stay in Kona, right in the heart of old Kona village. It had everything we needed, including plenty of swimming gear like snorkels, masks, fins, and towels. The kitchen was well-equipped with various cooking pans and utensils. We enjoyed a lovely view of the street and the ocean below. There’s also a covered garage for parking if needed. The hosts were wonderful and very responsive. I will definitely seek out this place for my next trip to Kona!

Superb

Can't get a better location in the heart of downtown Kailua-Kona and interactions with the host were timely and thorough. The condo was clean, new appliances, everything worked as it should. The place is loaded.....towels, beach gear, just about anything and everything a couple or family would want. The kitchen is incredible...Everything is stocked and labeled. We absolutely will go back.

Perfect condo

The condo was perfect! It was clean and comfortable. There was everything you would ever need. The large lanai had a great view - I saw whales every day including a beautiful breach! It was easy access to the main roads to get to anywhere on the island. You could walk to many great restaurants and shops. We would highly recommend!
