"Very friendly staff at check in. Walkable from Wakayamashi station. The area is a fun little section of the city with a lot of character. Plenty of hole in the wall eateries and small bars. I found some live music clubs to check out right around the corner. There are a few shopping streets to walk that aren’t focused on tourism. "I have no idea why this hostel has a high score on this site. It is absolutely disgusting. Black mold in the showers. Bed sheets and mattresses have visable disgusting stains. The bathrooms have the same smell as camping site public bathroom Its also completely unsafe. I woke up at 3 am to use the bathroom only to find a homeless man cleaning himself.
