We stayed for a week in a king room with plunge pool and had the most wonderful time. The room and whole resort were so clean, spacious and beautifully maintained. It was great to have our own pool on balcony with incredible sea view. Staff were exceptional, very friendly and always helpful and prompt with assistance. Resort built on a hillside but always had a buggy available to transport around the resort whenever we needed. Great quiet location about 15min walk into main town/beach centre which was no problem for us. Very prompt shuttle bus service available which we used most days. The pool and resort facilities were outstanding. Breakfast buffet was incredible, wide range of cuisine on offer, fresh and high standard. Beach outside resort is on a reef so not great to swim off the sand but still nice to sit in shade walk and explore the rocks, snorkel, and there are lounges provided on a deck there. Easy to get grab or taxi/tuk tuk to surrounding attractions. We recommend a visit to Laemsing beach nearby, we went by longtail boat from Kamala beach 1500Bhat return trip. Visit to Phuket Old town is a must, it is a great place to wander around shops, take in some historic sites and temples, great restaurants and bars. We loved the area of Kamala, fantastic beach, really clean and great options for both sand area with shade and small areas with lounge/umbrella. Great restaurants and beach bars. Will definately return and highly recommend Hyatt Regency.

What a great resort - just 1/2 hour from the hustle of the center of Phuket and just under an hour from the airport. My room (1116) was a sea-facing king with a massive balcony and in the USA we would consider it a proper jr. suite with a large living area with it’s own desk and large television.

Overall, the hotel met our expectations, especially regarding the standard rooms. The general staff was extremely friendly and service-minded. However, a serious issue arose with the operations director, who refused to take any responsibility, even in obvious situations. On three consecutive occasions, there was no hot water in our room. Each time we called staff, and they confirmed the issue – yet he flatly denied it was the hotel’s problem. When I mentioned that it's unfortunately common in Thailand for technicians to claim that things work when they clearly don’t, he accused me of being racist. I found this deeply offensive and unfair. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever been treated this poorly. As a result, I requested to check out early – despite having three nights left and being on a family trip. This man has the rare ability to ruin a great hotel and an outstanding team. Give him a beautiful hotel and a dedicated staff – and he will still manage to mess it up.

Our stay at the Hyatt Regency Phuket was fantastic. The hotel itself is lovely and well-maintained, with great views over Kamala Beach. Staff and service was on point, which is especially important given you generally need to get driven to and from your room in a golf buggy due to the steep incline. Staff always had a smile on their face and genuinely looked like they were having fun working. Breakfast was excellent, with a huge array of cuisine - we often spent well over an hour there enjoying the food and coffee. The pool is great and was never as busy as you'd expect considering how nice it is.
