Marden Meadows - Luxury home in Kangaroo Valley

Marden Meadows is a luxurious modern weatherboard house, set amongst two and a half acres of flat, open grass in the stunning Kangaroo Valley. Styled with a luxurious mix of modern furnishings with a Scandinavian twist it is a bright comfortable country retreat.

The House has three generous bedrooms sleeping up to six people (2 King beds and 2 King singles, all with pillow top mattresses). Each bedroom has its own reverse-cycle air-conditioning unit to ensure that you are always comfortable. The linens are fresh with high thread counts and the feature linens are a lovely mix of ticking and prints to create an eclectic country style a long way from the generic. The master bedroom has a delightful ensuite complete with a marble basin and the main bathroom has a luxurious soaker tub with stunning views up the Escarpment. There is also a separate powder room.

The crowning feature is a delightful open plan living, dining, kitchen area spilling through french doors onto a large covered entertaining deck with outdoor lounge setting, ceiling fan, radiant heater, and Webber bbq. The setting is stunning at sunset with glorious views over the meadows and up to the Escarpment. The living areas have reverse-cycle air-conditioning and a Jet Master gas fireplace ensuring that the house is always wonderfully comfortable. Complimentary internet is available throughout. The house is airy and well appointed with polished blackbutt floorboards, plush carpeted bedrooms and quality furnishings such as a Natuzzi lounge and West Elm side tables.

Cooks aren't forgotten. There is a wonderful well equipped gourmet kitchen, choice of Espresso Machine with integrated coffee bean grinder or Nespresso, gas cooktop and double oven which beckons you to whip up a cake and there is a well stocked herb garden a few steps from the back door. Bring your favourite recipe or peruse our library of cookbooks. Listen to your favourite music from your iPhone on our Sonos One (with Airplay 2 connectivity) or connect by bluetooth to the Yamaha soundbar.

Children are catered for too. There is ample space to run and kick a ball on two and a half acres of flat grass (all within view of the house), a small creek runs along the perimeter where ducks and frogs dwell and if you bring your bikes, the Valley is wonderful to explore. They will be entranced by the sight of our resident ducks and kangaroos and will be entertained by our collection of board games and DVDs, and giant Jenga on the covered back deck on wet days. We have a cot and high-chair for the younger children.

Located immediately across a quiet laneway from the Kangaroo Valley Golf Resort, Marden Meadows affords a wonderful view of the 3rd fairway and makes it a wonderful retreat after a challenging round. It is just a short stroll to enjoy your Saturday Lunch or Dinner (or indeed a drink) at the Woolshed Restaurant at the golf course.
 
The Village, with its fabulous local pub and collection of shops, cafes and eateries is a short 4 minute drive away. Or you can collect groceries from the Friendly Grocer and cook up a storm.

The Valley itself offers a wealth of activities such as canoeing, hiking, cycling and swimming in Kangaroo River. Take your camera and capture the beauty of the Escarpment or the native wildlife that call the Valley home.

Marden Meadows is a wonderful base for exploring Berry (25 minutes) with its fabulous markets and eateries, Shoalhaven's wineries and magical beaches. Alternatively explore the nearby Southern Highlands or enjoy the amazing array of special scenic drives the area is renowned for.
