Welcome to Harker House!

Just 4 miles from acres of walk-in hunting land, right between 2 of Kansas’s best fishing lakes, Kanopolis Lake and Wilson Lake, the clearest lake in Kansas. A great Mexican restaurant across the street, 2 bars in town and a gas/convenience store just a half of a block away to meet your needs. Numerous other eating places, liquor store & grocery store just 4 miles away. Visit the local Fort Harker Museum. Walk the same floorboards that General Custer, General Sherman & Buffalo Bill Hickok walked. Check out the Kanopolis Drive-In during the summer months!

Clean and cozy

The Harker House is clean, confortable, and had everything we needed! This was a great place to stay for our trip to Kanopolis. I have already recommended it to family who may be planning to come out to Kansas.

The whole town was closed down for a fiesta which was cool. The house was clean and small The drive in was great. The restaurant across the street was yummy.

The Metropolis of Kanopolis

Really nice place. You could tell the owner had really put alot of thought into the needs of visitors. Quite a cozy little spot. The bathroom was spotless as was the rest of the home. Nice restaurant 20 yards away with breakfast, lunch, and dinner—we became regulars. We enjoyed our stay. Thanks for the hospitality.

This location was easy to locate, although the house number was hard to see at night.It was clean, neat, well organized, and had everything we needed and then some. They even had my favorite tea.I would definitely stay here again.my favorite tea.tea.tea.mynignot

Lake Birthday Party!

Harker House is small but wows you with comfort and cleanliness!! The location is right downtown so you can walk to the Mexican Restaurant and the bars. The lake is twenty minutes away, but it’s a nice scenic drive. Our host was very helpful with any of our questions. Would highly recommend to friends and family. Thank you for a great stay! comfortable clean little house

Harker House was small but clean and comfortable. The pros are the updated large bathroom, comfortable beds, heat and AC. The kitchen was okay for us because we ate out but the lack of stove and seating might be a problem for others. The location is on main in a small town so there is a busy restaurant across the street (very good mexican food) and a bar two doors down. But it is also within walking distance to the Fort Harker Museum which my husband enjoyed. The host was very responsive to our questions. We recommend the Harker House and will stay there again if we are back that way.

Very impressed!

We were so impressed with this property! So clean and cute, we will definitely stay again when going to the Drive in movie theater. It is downtown and probably a business in the past but converted into a cute property! We loved it so much. Beds were the most comfortable ever! It was decorated so modern and amazing. My husband, myself and daughter all stayed and my daughter and I are usually a hard sell. We loved it! Check in was seamless and again cannot say enough how cute this property is. I would recommend 1000%

Beautiful location to rest as we were passing through! The photos really don't do this property justice. Property was very clean and accommodating. Host was easy to communicate with and extremely helpful when we needed to adjust our stay date. We would definitely like to stay again in the future!

Exceptional small town gem

Listing was spot on for everything the property had. Very cute little gem. Mexican restaurant across street with breakfast and lunch and dinner service. Small town gas station along with a bar and a cute town park.Came to celebrate anniversary along with fire department side by side ride. Cant wait to return next year!
