Nice property

Location was great for us as the family we were visiting was only about a 10 minute drive into Lee’s summit. The property is peaceful and the hot tub was a nice touch.

Overall this property was okay. However, the couch needs to be replaced and new TV in the front room. The entire place seemed to be the old hammy downs and hodgepodge of left overs. The place was also unorganized but we were able to manage.

We were in the are for our son’s wedding, he lives in Lees Summit and the wedding was at Powell Gardens. The house was close to both places. Bre responded to all of my inquiries quickly and was extremely helpful.

Another great stay!

Just completed another great week at Boutique Cottage guest house - always our "go-to" when we're in Missouri to visit family and friends. We love being able to bring our two little Yorkie travel buddies - the perfect place for them to romp and play. The upgraded kitchen and laundry appliances made the stay even more convenient. We didn't get a chance to try out the new hot tub, but hope to during our next visit. As always, the hosts were extremely accommodating, and we always look forward to our trips to MO, knowing we have a great VRBO to enjoy instead of being cramped in a tiny hotel room! Couldn't be happier! Thanks, Bre and Adam!!

Please invest in a home inspector to identify / fix property challenges

In 40 years of staying in all types of accommodations we’ve never left a poor review. This property and the poor communication with the property manager compels us to leave one here. My intention was to include the whole text thread for context, but we only have 1,500 characters here. The following is a piece of our text thread after bringing the initial list of challenges to the property manager’s attention. Property manager text @ 7:54 AM: I totally understand I will let my maintenance crew know that you will be leaving and will have them reclean after you leave They should be here around 11am I get that you can’t stay in a disgusting place with your family. Reviews are real Hole in carpet is a floor drain needed for if they is any flooding with ADA complaint home Leak in ceiling spots are from 9 years ago no active mold just old water damage I understand it’s unexceptionable It’s disgusting and you all will need to leave. I wish we could have made it work Our text reply @ 9:26 AM: Hi Bre, We’re out. The towel rack came off the holder in the master bath when the towel was taken off this morning. Just seems like a set screw tightening. The property manager wouldn’t process a partial refund after releasing us though and stopped communicating with us 6 days ago, 5 days before the original check out day, despite multiple attempts from our side.

We've stayed at the Guest House every year since 2019 when traveling back to MO to visit family and friends.The accommodations always meet our needs so perfectly, especially when bringing our two little Yorkies. Family and friends enjoy dropping by - plenty of space to relax and visit, and kitchen is stocked with everything needed to cook up a meal. Easy access to everything in the area. Bre is wonderful to work with, and we actually plan our trip dates around the availability of the Guest House, just to be sure we can stay there!

Disgusting

It's a shed filled with old, dilapidated and dirty furniture. Moldy bathrooms. It felt so gross we didn't want to sit, much less lay on any surface in the place. They advertise it as secluded, it's an absolute lie. We chose it for the secluded hot tub which was actually on the front porch, maybe 20 feet from the house next door and 30 feet from a busy parking lot and house on the other side. Random dumpsters and sheds all around. When we asked for a refund as we could not stay, the owner refused. We had to find another rental for our trip with no notice. A horrible start to our 4 day trip.

Good property

The property was a good location and nice size for our group. The beds were satisfactory but not comfortable for some. The kitchen was not well supplied, we never saw a toaster or scissors, and dishes and flatware were adequate but seemed cobbled together. Shampoo bottles, body wash were empty. Dish soap nearly empty.

It was ok

The pull out bed was like sleeping on a chain link fence, and the other beds were not that comfy. The couch had dog hair all over it. Who ever stayed in back apt was banging on walls so we felt as if we had to be very quiet. We were in town for a wedding, so it served its purpose, but I may invest in a new sofa. Thank you!

Remarkable, memorable and cozy

My parents, sister and I all traveled to Kansas City to visit with my daughter. This is by far the best VRBO we've stayed in. The property was lovely, we loved spending time in the hot tub (even in the snow!!)! There was plenty of room to accommodate all of us and the kitchen was dreamy! And there were plenty of blankets to keep us nice and cozy! The owners were very communicative and wonderful to work with. We'll absolutely stay here again next time

Comfortable guest cottage

The 3 bedroom, 2 bath, cottage was perfect for us. It was spacious and very well equipped for our brief stay. Everything was accessible and clean. Will definitely keep in mind for future visits.

Needs work

So the place has a good location but really lacked in cleanliness and comfort. Found dog poop on the floor in one of the bedrooms and the mattresses are not the most comfortable. Several things were broken or in need of repair. Old living room furniture really dated the space.

keurig coffee did not work so we went to starbucks$$$ did get different one next day kitchen floor was sticky in front of fridge and tons dust on ceiling fans in bedroom AND over kitchen island No toaster. had brought stuff to toast!!

Interesting Stay

The host was responsive and the house was okay. I was a little taken aback by some of the house rules like laundering our own towels before leaving. It was farther out and more rustic than I expected or I’m accustomed to, but we had a pleasant experience.
