Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks, and take out the trash
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
If you use the canoes, kayaks, paddle boat please turn upside down where you got them so they do not fill with water when it rains
Trash day is early Monday so please put trash cans at end of driveway near mailboxes. Do not put at the end of the circle dr.
Put remote for the deck lights back in the basket on the kitchen counter
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

2 ponds- please keep constant watch on young children & non swimmers as there is no life guards on duty. Please respect neighbors- quiet time 10pm
Please stay out of the cow pen. There is also a chicken pen, gate must remain shut. Dog's name is Carmel. There are a few outdoor cats as well.

Perfect location for family gathering

The location was excellent for a family gathering. The home is comfortable and easy to share for the 14 of us visiting. We were able to host a small gathering as well. The host was very accommodating.

City Escape Review

The location was perfect distance from the city, on beautiful land with gorgeous views. Quiet and secluded with everything you need to escape the city and reset but close enough to run into town to grab what you need. Me and my family were well supported in this space.

I lost my mother last weekend but needed a place to host some out of town family. This place provided two areas for family to be together during a very tough time. It was in a uiet neighborhood and also had a place for me and my praise team to rehearse for the service funeral servicefin

Great family vacation

Everyone had a great time! Kids enjoyed swimming in the pond and using the kayaks and paddle boat. Very nice deck with plenty of sitting room. Close to many Kansas City attractions.

Great Property for Family Reunion

We had a wonderful time here for our family reunion. Worked well for everyone aged 2-55. Room sizes were great and the house accommodated all of us without any issue. It was nice to socialize on the back deck, swim, and play on the water. Thank you, Bruce!

Quiet Country Get-away

This was a great house for us. We were in town for a baseball tournament and had plenty of room to share with a couple families. Nicely appointed and clean. The yard is fantastic and it was great to have breakfast on the deck and watch/listen to the animals. The drive to Creekside and Homefield parks was easy. Highly recommended property.

Family reunion

The house and property was amazing. My family and I was so impressed with the decor of the house. How roomy and clean it was. The memories we made that week were priceless. Well worth every penny we spent. Definitely would like to stay there again in the future.

Welcoming

The pond was enjoyed by the fisherman in the family. The house was spacious and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. We most enjoyed long visits on the outside deck and taking walks around the property. Looking forward to returning.

Perfect Home!

Our extended family stayed here for a family reunion this summer. It worked out perfectly for our four families. The kids loved playing in the lake and kayaking around, the deck is absolutely beautiful, and there was plenty of space! There are even two kitchens so one family could prepare food downstairs and the others could prepare them upstairs. It worked out very well for our group of 19!

Spacious Property - nice time

I went with a bunch of old adult friends. We wanted to stay together, so we were willing to make the drive into KC when we had to. The house was nice and spacious, we really liked the patio and room outdoors for a couple of activities we did there.We only had 16, but I will say, it does not sleep 24 adults..as the top bunks are only supposed to be used by 175lbs or less and I'm not sure I'd trust thatevev, as the bunk beds were overall pretty shaky.Host had good communication, someone did show up to tend the farm both days.

Liberty Lodging and Ranch

This was our family's second time to stay at this beautiful property. All of us enjoyed the house and property from the 2 year old to the 60+ crowd. It works so well for our large family. The baby gates were a real hit with my daughter n law! Thanks again for a wonderful weekend to wind down and celebrate with our family.

The house is set up perfectly for our large family. The kitchen/ dining areas have plenty of room. Everyone loved spending time catching fish and frogs or just sitting in the sun down by the pond. The huge covered deck was the hub for all of our activities. Bruce and his wife were great hosts. Clean, well stocked and comfortable beds.

Awesome location for our family reunion

We loved the spacious house, deck and yard. Plenty of sleeping options for my parents, my siblings and our spouses and kids. Lots of comfortable furniture. The kids and teens loved the big-screen projector downstairs for playing video games. My nephew even caught a catfish and a few bass in the pond. We took adventures into KC for barbecue, the Money Museum, Science City, and the Crossroads streetcar; and to Liberty for the Truman library, all under 30 minute drives. Would totally recommend this place for a relaxing stay!

Exceptional!

This house and property was absolutely wonderful! Because of our large family, (21 people), we needed lots of places to sleep, a large kitchen, and places to sit and hang out. This house offered all of those things and much more. The gorgeous, large deck was where we spent most of our time, and the kids and adults alike enjoyed the pond and large yard. The living spaces provided comfortable furniture, and a nice large television we all were able to enjoy. The appliances all worked great, and everything we needed for cooking was provided. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean, and it was overall very excellent. We were celebrating a 50th anniversary, and this location proved to make our celebration extremely special. Bruce was easy to communicate with, helpful, and genuine. I 100% recommend this property!

Misleading Pictures

Our stay was good. We had plenty of room for us 14 adults. However, when we arrived, the kitchen garbage was over half full, dust covered surfaces in the bedrooms to the point where you could write in it, the toilets had stains from not being freshly cleaned/used. I'm guessing the house had not been rented out for a while. The chicken coop is larger than in the pictures and is right off the deck area. They roam freely on the property. The carpets are stained. The master bathroom has the tub taped off (we would not have used it, but something to note). There are people on the property every evening for the cows and every morning for the chickens. Just be aware the pics do not accurately show the layout of the property and there will be other people coming and going during your stay. It was raining during the majority of our stay so the covered deck was a nice option. We did not see the dog mentioned in the description during our stay. We also could not get the washer and dryer to work during our stay.

Family time

This home had plenty of room for parents and family. The children enjoyed having a bunkbed room for the girls and one for the boys. The large upper deck was an amazing hang out place, both for eating and visiting, including a table as well as extra seating, including two gliders. The kitchen was well equiped. There were electric griddles perfect for pancakes and grilled cheese. The convection oven was wonderful. When extra oven space was needed, the downstairs kitchen filled in well. The beds were comfortable. Plenty of extra blankets and pillows were available. Some folks especially enjoyed the comfy couch throws while doing video games and watching shows on the screen wall. The outdoor games, ponds, fishing, canoes, and paddleboat were a big hit. One child had his first chance to fly a kite with the wide open spaces. Animal watching was also a big hit. The newborn calf, chickens, cats, frogs, so many exciting sites. The washer was handy for cleaning up after the pond adventures. It was great to have a washer and dryer available. We highly recommend this location for family that wants a place not in the city, but near enough for what functions you came to the area to attend. Bruce will answer questions when you have them. Definitely a place to stay again.

What a great house! This house had enough rooms to fit us all! A huge kitchen for family dinners, and the star of the show—the deck!! Amazing views of the pond where the kids enjoyed fishing. Everyone took advantage of the long driveways for walks and bike rides. Bruce was super attentive and even brought us a new gas tank for the grill when we discovered one was low. We would definitely recommend and stay there again.

Excellent Family Experience

We found the facilities clean and comfortable. A great time for playing whiffle ball, kayaked in pond, visited many sights in the area. We had planned for this for over a year, it didn’t disappoint. Owners were so helpful during our planning! We are so grateful for this property and the opportunity to enjoy it!
