"Location was really good for us first timers in Japan. Shinjuku is a city that never sleeps. I'm glad that we can't hear the noise from the outside from the 14th floor but the ventilation is horrendous. They have centralized air-conditioning which I never really felt during our stay. Not a single cold air on my skin, so had to go to bed sometimes covered in sweat because of the heat. "We were shocked by the extremely small room upon check in. I was pleased the Shinjuku Prince staff worked hard to accommodate us and offer a fair, but pricey upgrade option to a bigger room. Once in this room, we had some issues with noise, but the floor staff were responsive and helped address this problem. All things considered, our stay was enjoyable and if you want to be close to activity- the Shinjuku Prince offers an unbeatable location in this key Tokyo ward."

"Great hotel and convenient location in Shinjuku. We were able to take advantage of the nearby train stations to get to other parts of Tokyo like Shibuya, Akihabara, etc. We had a smaller room that had a bunk bed style for our family of 3. It was definitely a tight squeeze but we made it work."
