"We stayed at this hotel for 8 nights. It was our first experience at Sri Lanka. The location of Villa Tara at Hikkaduwa city is optimal - in jungle forest but in ten minutes from the beach also. Property is in fine condition and professionally managed. You will be provided with a top quality guest service. "We thought we had booked a 4 bedroom villa but it was 4 rooms with on suites opening out onto a verandah by a small pool. Host appeared to be booking rooms individually.Communication through stayz with host was dreadful. Host didn’t reply to 3 messages over 24 hours. Had to ring stayz several times. When 3 of us arrived he said he had already booked 2 rooms and had no record of our booking. I think it was a language barrier. When with him face to face he was very nice and tried to accommodate...

The Villa looks like the pictures and the garden is great getaway with plenty of space to share company. The breakfasts are of generous proportions and the home cooked food great.
