"Disappointed that room was not ready by 3.00 p.m check in time. Although there were notices for no smoking in the room, there was a distinct smell of cigarettes on the floor and in the room. "A beautiful hotel! Rooms are beautifully appointed. We stayed in the heritage building and loved the combination of antique and modern styles. Felt like an oasis. The staff were friendly, welcoming and responsive to all our requests. The food was delicious and an exquisite buffet at breakfast. The dining room got a bit hectic at times in the mornings, and it sometimes felt like they were understaffed as it took a long time to get coffee. But we could see that the staff were doing the best they could under the circumstances. "
