We enjoyed eating at Desi Aromas. Staff dedication deserves praise. I am very particular about hotel stays especially when traveling with children. "Situated amidst the lush tropical forests of Kerala's western high ranges, the hotel is at an altitude of around 3500 ft. Weather is pleasant with occasional drizzle and turns refreshingly chilly in the afternoons accompanied by mists that envelop both the hotel and its surroundings. Named aptly as "Scenic," the property offers breathtaking views of mountains and valleys, with mornings serenaded by the chirping of birds. There is a yoga deck, pool, and spa, where traditional Ayurvedic massages can be done. Rooms are spacious, some featuring private swimming pools and balconies. At this moment only one restaurant is operational at the property with a buffet breakfast and ala carte lunch and dinner options. Munnar town is 30 minutes away. Staff are polite and friendly though some need a bit more training and the property management needs to focus on this. Linens, towels are fresh, new and clean. I will highly recommend this property and look forward to our next visit to Scenic. "

"I booked this hotel on a whim after reading the reviews and wanting to pamper myself on my vacation to India. I was traveling there with another friend of mine. The Manager Mr. Randheesh and Ms. Renju graciously greeted us and helped make tour arrangements as well. The chef and other staff kept checking on us to make sure we were comfortable and happy. The villa with the pool was grand, private and beautiful. I just wished the mountain view was not blocked by all the shrubs. I think that was not the case with the second villa they had on property. The breakfast buffet was perfect with variety and tasted authentic. We tried the spa service as well and I enjoyed it as well. The price for the booking was very steep but the service and room was worth it. There is one comment however I would like to make. Although I had made the booking in my name, they treated my friend as the superior although I mentioned he is a friend not my husband. I wanted to tey an independent excursion in the morning when my friend was asleep and the security staff was very reluctant to arrange an auto at first and asked me if I took permission from my friend before going out. Given that.many foreigners travel here, I was not expecting that cross questioning. They finally did call me an auto when I said I'll walk up the hill to get one myself instead. I visited Munnar during peak summer in April, and since the rooms only have fans we did toss and turn at night. But I had a splendid stay there."
