"I liked the welcoming, friendly, and helpful staff at check-in. The facility had three elevators, making it easy to get around, plus a large two-section arcade that the kids enjoyed and plenty of outdoor seating for guests to relax.
The hotel has an on-site restaurant, but it was closed, and I wasn't sure if it ever opened during our stay, so we ate outside the resort.
The water park was smaller than expected. There was no wave pool—just a small pool, a few tube slides, and attractions geared more toward younger children than teenagers. The water park staff were very nice. Guests receive a towel card to exchange for a towel and must return it to avoid a $25 replacement fee. They close attraction 1 hour.
Our biggest issue was the room. We initially checked into a Junior Suite with a king bed and sofa bed, but it had a strong odor and we found a roach. After I notified the front desk, the staff quickly moved us to another room. In the second room, we had to call the front desk because the sofa bed had dirty linens. They sent the housekeeping manager to inspect it, and she arranged for someone to clean and replace the linens. The room was cleaner afterward, though it still had a slight odor, and was acceptable for our overnight stay.
Would I return? No. The kids had fun, and it was a nice one-night getaway, but they felt it was just okay overall. While we enjoyed parts of the experience, the room issues and small water park would make me think twice about booking another stay."
"The room was BEAUTIFUL. It was 2 walls of windows overlooking the Catskills, it was perfect. The bed was comfortable and the pool was lovely.
The room could have been cleaned better - there were wrappers on the floor and a lot of dust/hair in the bathroom.
There also is not a continental breakfast and the cafe downstairs is very minimal on what they offer."
"The self service property was clean, had been updated quite recently and the room looked very nice inside. Overall an enjoyable stay.
I had issues checking in, but the host came within 10 minutes to assist. Very helpful."
"The hotel needs a complete remodeling. For $300+ a night, I was expecting a nice modern hotel. Our door didn’t even stay closed. The toilet was so old. The beds were old and squeaky. The pool closed at 5pm. The shops weren’t open late. The parking was horrible. A lot could be upgraded. Our room was clean though."
"The room itself wasn’t terrible. However there was a “clean” smell that was used to cover up something else. We both had terrible allergies from the poor air circulation in the room. The vents were filthy. The blankets were clean. The light in the bathroom was a vanity light and didn’t provide enough to reach the shower. Also, have fun playing “where are the tissues?” (Spoiler: they are recessed in the wall right by the entryway, not the bathroom or sleeping area.) Nearly everything outside the room was not operational… ice machine, juice, just to name a few."
"For a three-night stay, this place did the trick. The check-in process was easy, and the woman at the Front Desk was pleasant enough. The hotel itself is a bit outdated, but the room was pretty well-kept and the housekeeping staff was friendly. Aside from a few issues (tricky tub faucet, slow-draining bathroom sink, shower rod not fully secured, and a very brief overnight power outage one night), everything was okay. My room had a view of the front lawn, which is nicely landscaped, and a partial view of the mountains in the distance. They had a standard breakfast setup (pastries, coffee, cereal, waffle maker) that I didn't get the chance to check out. The vending machine selection was a bit sparce but I grabbed essentials from a nearby gas station. Overall, the stay was as expected. The AC, microwave, fridge, and iron were all in good order in the room. An AirBnb would probably be a bit more comfortable, but for a simple, no-frills place to rest your head for a few nights, it works. I visit the area a few times per year, and would likely stay here again."
