"If I could live here, I would! My only issue here is that there's no AC. I get why they don't have AC, because it's right on the water and the breeze and the sound of the waves - it's all sooo good. But it's a bit rough when you're trying to get ready to go out for the night, or pack to leave. So you pack and get 95% ready, then jump in that salt water pool one last time to cool off. Honestly, it was a highlight of my trip and priced just right too!"

"We were pleasantly surprised at check-in with a little gift for our 30th anniversary. The ocean view was stunning, and we loved watching the sunset and the crashing waves from our balcony. While the furniture and bed felt a bit below 4-star standards, everything else made for a truly wonderful stay."

"We loved our stay at the Outrigger Kona. The resort was stunning and so well maintained and clean. The pool was perfect and not over crowded. Great access to chairs and shade. Parking was easy and convenient. My only slight complaint was with the food around the pool. The selection was minimal, cost was way too high and they were always delivered in huge paper bags that just seemed a waste. Nothing to ruin an otherwise fabulous stay. We felt location was convenient to everything however that means a drive to everything including food. Food options nearby were incredible as well. "

"Staff was kind, room was clean and in great condition. Breakfast was good. The best part was the hotel didn’t charge me a million hidden fees like the resorts in Kona do. As locals it’s hard to find somewhere affordable in Kona, so this was a lovely surprise. "

"I’d give 4.5 if it was an option, it had Great view, grounds are tropical and clean, room was spacious, and clean, downside no elevators, no air conditioner (had a lock on it) but several fans. Would stay again "
