Johnny Ringo's grave is less than a mile away, check it out. Rob & Sharon are wonderful hosts! Very helpful and knowledgeable about the area and history. And great to talk to. Everything was great. We will definitely return!"
Comfortable, Quiet, and Remote Studio On A Working Ranch In Southern Arizona

"The guest suite at the Crossed J Ranch was the ideal place to stay for our Memorial Day weekend getaway to the Chiricahua National Monument and surrounding area. The studio was quite spacious and had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. The hosts were wonderful and had the place stocked with a dozen fresh eggs, butter, filtered water, condiments, spices, etc. Staying on a working ranch was a truly delightful and unique experience. We enjoyed learning about the history of the area and seeing a bit of it in the "mini museum" right on the ranch. We also loved watching the birds, wild turkeys, and cows, and stars from the front porch of the guest house. Unless you are camping, you really can't stay any closer to Chiricahua NM as it's just a few minutes drive from the park entrance. If you want to get away from it all and don't mind packing meals for the duration of your stay, I highly recommend staying here. We certainly look forward to returning."

"Everything was great! The property was clean, tidy and had everything we needed. We bought some bird food and spent the mornings and evenings relaxing on the porch watching the desert bird species. We checked out the Chiricahua Mountains National Monument and did several hikes as well. Would recommend to anyone wanting to escape for a few days and relax!"

"We had a short two night stay Hummingbird Ranch timed to view the winter residency of the Sandhill Cranes. This is wonderfully appointed, comfortable, private getaway on 25 acres of Sonoran Desert, adjacent to both wetlands where the Sandhill Cranes winter (Willcox Playa and Whitewater Draw). The owners were very supportive and we enjoyed communicating the Renee. She gave us much great advice for enjoying our stay. The night sky was spectacular! The bed was comfy and the place was outfitted as well as any VRBO we stayed in. We look forward to returning when we can spend more time. "
