House Includes:
Fully remodeled one bedroom, one bath, lakefront property with breathtaking views. Over-sized screened in porch with plenty of seating for relaxing with your morning coffee or for an afternoon nap. Upgraded kitchen with all new appliances and fully stocked for any meal prep needs. Upgraded bedroom includes a king size bed with top of the line bedding and mattress. Living room includes an additional twin size daybed. No Pets Allowed.

You will have your own private dock on a secluded 35 acre stocked lake. Outdoor amenities include 2 kayaks, fire pit, charcoal grill (charcoal provided).

This was the perfect spot for a couples getaway. It was relaxing and had more than everything we could ever neat. The host left a basket of goodies and the place was very clean!

Wonderful place and exceptional host

The lake was beautiful,the house was spotless and just as shown in the pictures. The host was very accommodating and the snack assortment that was there for us was the perfect touch. We look forward to going back and I will recommend the Blue Heron to everyone I know.

The lake side chalet is so charming! The house was very clean, well decorated, and great amenities! There was even a snack basket upon our arrival! We absolutely loved the serene and peaceful setting of the patio deck overlooking the lake. Great Blue Herons, egrets, and geese were so fun to watch. We enjoyed paddling around the lake in the kayaks provided too. I would definitely recommend The Blue Heron!

Lake House on Lincoln Lake in Kelso, TN

This home was incredible! The owner really knew what was needed to make it cozy, comfortable, and relaxing! From feather top mattress, to string lights and fans on the porch, to soft blankets that smelled divine, it was just perfect! I highly recommend staying at this cabin as a retreat by yourself with your significant other!

Blue Heron is perfect.

The host thought of everything for our comfort, including snacks. The cottage is super cute, and the porch was fantastic with comfortable couches. The bed, linens, and towels were all high quality. I highly recommend it if you're in the area or looking for a relaxing getaway. It's a beautiful country drive into Lynchburg.

Beautiful place

What a beautiful and peaceful place. The pictures online actually do not do justice to how nice this place is. The people were warm and friendly, very accommodating. We had a wonderful time and would definitely rent again. Highly recommended!!!

Cute cozy cabin

My daughter and I had a wonderfully relaxing weekend at Gloria’s cabin. The cabin was very clean, cozy and had an amazing screened in porch where a wonderful afternoon of reading and relaxing was on the agenda. The beds were wonderful and provided a restful night’s sleep. Gloria took care to provide a wide array of snacks as well. 10/10 recommend this wonderful retreat.

Loved our stay here! The view is awesome from a GREAT back porch and so many little added things from games to books to the really great snacks makes this a perfect place to get away and relax!!! Really enjoyed the kayaks on the lake too btw!! We booked our next stay within the first hour of being there!!

Great cabin getaway!

This was a great cottage on a lake. We were looking for total relaxation and got just that. We spent most of the time sitting on the huge screened in porch, watching the steam rise off the lake in the mornings, the sunset in the evenings as the sun dropped behind the trees beyond the lake and all of the nature in between. It’s clear why the name of this cabin is Blue Heron. We got to see this bird fishing most of the day. Great accommodations in this newly renovated cabin. Would definitely stay again.

Quick get away

Very updated and clean property. Very private on small lske with lots of wildlife. Saw blue herrons, ducks, egrets, woodpeckers , deer and a bald eagle. Took a day trip to Tims Fork state park. Unfortunately the weather was cloudy and cold except for the day we left. Fall colors were just starting to turn pretty. Would recommend.

Peaceful Haven

This was just the relaxing cottage we needed ! I could live on the porch overlooking the lake . We enjoyed the cooling rain and delighted in the variety of birds . I never wanted to leave ! 5 stars ***** ( one suggestion tho - I have a lot of allergies and asthma and the cleaning products used really affected me ! Thieves is great ! Fabuloso is not ) Overall we were both delighted .

The Best Little Getaway!

This property was perfect! We have stayed in many VRBO properties over the years, and this was one of the best. My husband and I wanted to just get away for a couple of days. He loves to fish and the dock right in front of the house was wonderful. I have never seen a home so well equipped with everything and anything you would need. The snack basket was unbelievable. The living areas were pleasant and even more spacious than the pictures looked. The screened in porch was the best - in the morning and in the evening. The bedroom was roomy and the bed was extremely comfortable. The only bad thing was that we didn't stay long enough! Next time we will. Thank you Gloria!

Relax @The Blue Heron

The host is great, the cabin is great, and the deck overlooking the water is large, fully screened, and furnished. The Blue Heron is in a very quiet location and is ideal for just relaxing. I'm not really into birdwatching, but there is a large variety of birds to watch. I've never seen a kingfisher fishing before, so that was kind of fun to watch. The only downside is that there is no WiFi, so you may need to rely on a mobile hotspot. Apart from that, I highly recommend The Blue Heron - the host has put a lot of time and effort into making it a great vacation rental.

You will never want to leave

So much to say about this perfect lake front home. First, Gloria is a genrous, sweet, and AMAZING host. This was our 9th VRBO rental and it was the cleanist we have ever stayed at. It was also the most welcoming place. Gloria made sure to let us know to use anything that was there. She also left some snacks on the counter and waters in the fridge. Which was perfect since we arrived before going to the store.The kitchen had everything you needed for cooking.The day bed in the living room was very comfortable and no compalints from our 14 year old. The bathroom and bedroom were also wonderful. There are plenty of extra blankets so no need to bring any. The part we loved the most was the porch. We enjoyed meals on it and just sitting and watching the geese. We also spent a lot of time kayaking and fishing. The neighborhood was quiet We can't wait to go back!
