"My kids and I went down to Kema for Mother’s Day weekend, and this is the perfect hotel to stay at. It’s less than a 10 minute walk to the boardwalk you do not have to pay for parking and there are tons of eating places and shops on your way to the boardwalk that occupy most of your time. It was perfect. "

"This was a family gathering. Most likely our Mom’s last trip with her kids. I can’t say enough good things about this property!! Every little touch was so nice. Charging cords everywhere, crab pots a plenty, and tons of fun games. I could stay here every time we venture to the Galveston area. Le has done a great job of maintaining this property in a harsh environment. It seems like he thought of everything. I highly recommend staying here with a big group. There is something for everyone!!!!"

"We stayed for a golf trip the end of March and had a great time. The whole house was really clean, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook and we loved all of the outdoor games downstairs. The outdoor space downstairs was awesome for our toddler! We also loved the open floor plan inside. We had a little issue with getting in but the property manager was immediately available to help. It says it in the listing but I missed it so the only downfall is not having 2 standing showers but we made it work. Would definitely recommend!"

"We came to Kemah in hopes of a nice getaway and some fun for the kids. Everything was great until bedtime, when we realized we were going to have a very loud and restless night. I realize we are responsible for researching our booking and making sure we cover all the bases. I felt that the description of this property was not accurate and the fact that we were on a street with 9 bars was hidden very well. The pictures of the outside were taken at angles that also hid this fact as well. The noise was so bad that we decided to end our trip early. My 8 year old son was terrified that someone was trying to get into his room and had bad dreams when he was sleeping. I contacted Bryan, the property manager and he was not helpful or understanding at all and just blamed us for not checking the property out more beforehand. I asked if we could be partially refunded for the night we did not stay so that we could book another night somewhere else. and he said he would “think about it” but I don’t think he intended to do anything about it. We ended up coming on home early. I think the details of this property need to be updated to include being close to “nightlife” and I don’t think children should be allowed to stay on a property like that. I think they should consider changing it to a property that doesn’t allow children. We have always had great experiences with vrbo until this time. We were very disappointed in this stay."
