I've been debating whether to leave a review. My family loved the place so much, they want to go back to England just to spend more time at the Hall. I figure it's poor taste to try to keep such an amazing place for ourselves, so here's my review.
So, the entrance is just over the top cool. The grounds and hedges are just like the pictures on the listing. (We originally weren't sure it was a real place, because it looked so cool. It's real!) My wife loved taking pictures of all the different flowers and trees that are on the grounds. The host has really done an amazing job with the gardens. There are walking paths that wind around and take you through different areas with just top notch gardens.
The master bath was remodeled very nicely, and the kitchen was great. We popped over to Kendal a few times to get some groceries, heating them up in the oven, or microwave. From there we went over to the coast at Whitehaven one day, and spent the day at Windermere, another. It really was a highlight of our trip.
