"House 15 was such a gem in Kenmore. From the start, Caroline was so welcoming and delightful. The room was spacious, clean and tastefully designed. Caroline had great recommendations for us around town. Breakfast the next morning was delicious! If I find myself back in Kenmare, I would definitely stay here again."

"Lovely hotel in central Killarney. They offer free bike hire but we didn't have time to make use of that. Really comfy beds, clean rooms. There is a safe and air con but no fridge. Looks a little dated but perfectly adequate and still feels like a treat to stay there, especially with the pool and sauna/steam room. We booked Cafe du Parc for dinner, which ended up being a bit noisy for the kids (busy with drinkers), so we took it up in takeaway boxes to our rooms and went back down for dessert afterwards when it had quietened down a bit. Great food and drinks. The staff in both Cafe du Parc and within the hotel were brilliant, went out of their way to help and really looked after us. Would stay at the Killarney Plaza Hotel and Spa again, but for 2-3 nights rather than one, if we could."

"The Shelburne Lodge is an absolute gem of a vacation home and a truly unique, authentic Irish experience! We rented the house for a week in early August 2026 with a group of family and friends. The Lodge is amazing in the way that they protected the original history and charm of the property yet have updated the amenities to make it very comfortable for the modern traveler. Patrick, Anne-Marie and team were fantastic hosts with great communication and assistance before, during and after the trip. They are the perfect mix of helpfulness if we needed them and hands-off when we were enjoying our vacation! We would absolutely rent this property again!The kitchen is equipped for catering, so has all you need to make amazing meals for your group (including a large grill outside). The 10 bedrooms were very comfortable, clean and beautifully appointed. Many of our group commented that they had the best night's sleep in a long time! (Pro Tip - rooms 9 & 10 in the guesthouse have bidets!)The home is a 5-minute walk to Kenmare center, with a safe, accessible sidewalk the entire way into town. There are 3 grocery stores within walking distance (and a handy quick mart around the corner w/ off-license and ice for emergency refills!) Considering the close proximity to all this convenience, the property is very large, beautifully landscaped and quite secluded, so we felt like we were in a private oasis dining al fresco in the lovely garden each evening."
