"My wife and i booked a bach that was presented as having good views, spa and fireplace. It was our wedding anniversary.After booking, the host contacted us and told us that the bach was double booked and would we mind staying in a 2 bedroom place with better views. Naturally i accepted thinking it was something better to compensate us for their error. There was nothing said about no fireplace and no spa or that the supposed upgrade price was cheaper than the one we booked. The place that was supposedly “better” sells at a lower price than the one we booked. Yes it did have good views but if i knew it didn’t have a fireplace and spa i would have booked elsewhere. And yes never any word about compensation. This sort of thing is not good for the industry. "

"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Roomy for a 1-bedroom - expansive decks and THE best view. Owner super-helpful - made sure we had all we needed on arrival and arranged return of an item left behind! Such a bonus to allow pets too. Thank you again Chris!"

"I had a wonderful stay at this charming classic bach in Surfdale. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the peaceful setting offered stunning views across the beach toward Auckland. There’s a fantastic takeaway coffee spot at the end of the path beside the house, and the local shops are less than a minute away. I would definitely stay here again."

"Our family (2 adults and a 6 year old) stayed here for three nights and it was great!!! It's small (it is a renovated world war 2 hut) but cute. The clear and beautiful view of the bay was amazing!"
