"We have been to the Lakes Hotel & Spa a few times & we always have an amazing stay. The staff are always polite & welcoming, a special thank you to Mark (concierge) he was very helpful! Our room was spotless & had a beautiful view over the lake. The spa was very nice as always, but it was slightly cold on the first day of our visit, the spa had been closed throughout the day for maintenance so possibly couldn’t be helped. Thank you for a wonderful stay!"

"Bar service was slow. Breakfast in the restaurant wasn't great. Everything was pre-cooked, and the fried eggs had obviously been sat there for a long time. In the bistro the breakfasts were freshly cooked and amazing"

"We stayed at the holiday Inn on New Years Eve which turned out to be a great stopping off point for visiting Cumbria. The facilities and breakfast were great. We would especially like to shout out to the housekeeping staff for their honesty and integrity in handing in some personal property which we inadvertently left in our room. Also a big thanks to Jemma who contacted us, checked that the item was ours and where it had been left then promptly returned it to us. The staff are a credit to the Holiday Inn and we can’t thank them enough. "
