"Idyllic village pub with beautiful scenic views. Would highly recommend this place as there is plenty of walking trails on your doorstep. This place has a lovely traditional pub layout, fantastic food with plenty of choice, all staff super friendly and the rooms were on point. WiFi great throughout the property. Our room rate included breakfast, a lovely adequate selection which included self help items and order of the menu for hot. We will be definitely staying again when visiting the northern area of the Lake District. Just to note Keswick is a little under 10 minutes drive away. Thank you for a lovely stay."

"The hotel had a beautiful view! We had the room with the larger windows looking directly at the mountains. The staff was super helpful, we had to take extra twenty minutes to check out and they were very helpful about that. The food was lovely. And parking was ample as well!"

The Grange Country House

"We received a phone call from The Grange several hours before check-in, telling us that we could check in early if we wished as the weather was poor. This was just the start of the care and attention we found during our stay. The room was beautiful and very well appointed, the rest of the hotel (guest house seems too reductive) equally beautiful. A quiet, relaxing, place with fabulously attentive staff who were just so willing to help. The styling and attention to detail were second to none. The breakfasts were wonderful, too. Cereals, fruit, yoghurt, and a range of cooked breakfasts that we very much enjoyed and which really set us up for the day. This was our second stay at The Grange and we can't wait to return!"

"The room was clean beside a blood stain on one of the duvets. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was an issue as the road was being resurfaced, but the staff did tell us where the best place to park was. The breakfast was excellent, it really set us up for a day in the hills. Overall a good value room for visiting the Lakes."
