Fellpack House

"Fellpack House has been a standout on our holiday so far. The room was really nice. The staff were super efficient and helpful. The breakfast was yummy. We really enjoyed sitting in the lounge looking out at the trees and mountains having a few glasses of wine after a long day exploring."
The Grange Country House

"This family run hotel is very comfortable and full of character. All the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. Great views of the surrounding hills. I really liked having access to fresh milk that we could take up our room to make tea. The room was well equipped- useful USB charging point on the wall beside the bedside table. Breakfast excellent - hot food cooked perfectly to order and a good selection of cereals, yoghurt, fruit etc at the buffet. The EV charger was very convenient. The hotel is not licensed but there is a cabinet in the lounge with a great selection of glasses that can be used with any drinks you bring in. All in all our lovely accommodation ensured we had a very enjoyable short break at the lakes. 😊"
Royal Oak at Keswick

"We really enjoyed our recent stay at the Royal Oak in Keswick. All the staff were really helpful and friendly, and Cerys, in particular stood out, checked us in efficiently, and without fuss. She also recommended local places to eat, one being the the Fellpack, which was excellent. Our room was well-equipped and cosy, newly, tastefully decorated. The location was accessible to the town shops, bars and restaurants, all within walking distance. We would recommend parking at the local rugby club, rather than trying to workout complicated parking times and amounts at the council car parks. The hotel restaurant was cosy with delicious, home cooked menu choices."

"Excellent stay. We were well looked after throughout our stay, everyone was extremely helpful and friendly The room was cosy and very comfortable, the breakfast was lovely. We ate in the bar on the evening and was very impressed by the food. One of the nicest steaks I have had. Will definitely return 10/10"

"A fantastic base for hiking in gorgeous surroundings with staff who all went the extra mile to ensure our stay was first class. The included full English breakfast was also excellent. Was the perfect destination to celebrate the 50th birthday of my wife. We will certainly be back."

"As a first time visitor to the Borrowdale Gates Hotel I have to say what a wonderful experience. The location was perfect with access to many hiking trails. The staff were pleasant and very attentive to our needs, the facilities including the restaurant were excellent, serving very high quality food. After spending several days at the Hotel I am convinced we will be returning. From two happy customers."
