"Room was on. Small size. Closet only fit 4 hangers. Desk staff not fully informed. Restaurant sub-par."

"I have stayed at the grand Hyatt NYC a few times. I recently stayed for 4 nights and had 2 junior suites. I room I got was absolutely horrible. This junior suite consisted of a small sofa 2 floor lamps that were broken and what I would call a fancy picnic table in the room. The bathroom was so small it was difficult to walk through. The shower was small and the commode was what I would call a commercial toilet with the step on to flush. There was no soup or any amenities. I went to front desk and ask for different room. They stated they had no other jr suites or suites but could get me a nicer room but there would be a $140 a night increase for the upgrade. I agreed because there was no way 2 woman could stay in first room. There were 2 incidents with people fighting in the hallway and my friends in the other room heard terrible noises, called security and they never came up to address the issue. The wallpaper was peeling and could tell the property was not being maintained. We will not stay there again FYI the room that was terrible is 1748."

"I love staying at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square and I do once or twice a year. Its location is so convenient for a lover of Broadway shows, as I am. This visit, I had a show scheduled at 1pm and arrived at 11am. The gentleman at the front desk was able to get me into my room right away, rather than having to wait until after my show was over. I need to ride a mobility scooter, which can sometimes be a challenge with the elevators, but there is almost always someone around to help hold the doors. The rooms are spacious and clean. The housekeeping staff are so helpful! Whenever I was exiting or entering my room when they were anywhere near my room, they would rush to hold open the door to my room. It costs somewhat more than other nearby hotels, but the quality and service are worth it!"
