The host left a very helpful instructional booklet describing how to use all of the amenities, and even instructions on how to best prepare the food. "Hakone Airu was a beautiful and relaxing place to stay at. It was easy to get to from Hakone-Yumoto Station by the bus shuttle. Definitely take the shuttle if you are able to. However, if you walk, it'll take some time but you get to view the onsen city. The staff were very welcoming, kind, and thoroughly explained how the services I booked worked. My sister and I got the dinner and massage package and it was very worth it. The dinner menu was delicious and fresh and we enjoyed every part of it. Our room was very cozy and the private onsen was very nice, with a beautiful mountain view. We loved that they provided yukatas for us both. It was nice to wear them and relax around the whole resort and our room. We also liked that there were two sinks and free toiletry/hygiene products for use. Although we forfeited the breakfast portion due to other conflicting schedules, we are sure it was as good as the dinner. We would definitely come back to this place and spend more time here. "
