Great location very close to Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse. Easily walkable to dining and shopping. Don't forget to check out the local museum where you can see items belonging to Carrie Ingalls (Little House on the Prairie). Lovely lady at the museum.

Our stay was comfortable. The room was clean and the staff was wonderful. There wasn't any daily room cleaning but if anything was needed to ask at the desk. Easy access to the boardwalk. Would recommend.

We enjoyed our time there, staff was very friendly at the front desk. We talked to them on numberous occasions. the property is located in a great location to everything in Keystone. WiFi is a little weak, and property seems a little dated, but good for what we needed. We will absolutely stay again when we are in the area.

The location was great the front desk clerk was very nice. The hotel is just very old. The toilet was super short and tiny,the fridge quit working. When u plugged things in, sparks came out of the sockets, the bedspreads are like ,70s,80s era. The sheets in the bed were clean but threadbare. Location location but that's all I can say good about it. It needs a makeover badly to refresh everything

This is a middle income, blue collar motel great place to use for a base good place to sleep. Extremely good staff. It’s clean. It’s comfortable. It’s not a five star hotel if you’re a Karen go somewhere else if you’re a regular person, it’ll be just great.

The property is old and in need of repairs/remodeling. The view across the street is a rundown very old trailer court. However, the staff is very nice and helpful. The mattresses & pillows were all just replaced and were very comfortable.

The staff were very pleasant and very accommodating. The room was huge!! It was probably one of the biggest rooms I have had. All areas were very clean. Lots of parking. It was in a very walkable area to shops and restaurants.

When I have previously visited Keystone, I have stayed at “big name” brands, but I will not be doing that again: my loyalty now lies with Keystone Boardwalk Inn. It was absolutely delightful, a well-preserved and charming update of a classic motor hotel. The staff were very attentive and the perk of having coffee and a coffee maker in your room was nice! The WiFi was the only downside, very slow, but didn’t mar the overall quality.

I intentionally booked a room here because its location is relatively close to Mt. Rushmore, which is about 6 miles away. Situated right on the Keystone boardwalk, the 1880 Train is a 5 minute walk. Plus, with a car rental, all the places I wanted to visit were within 15 - 35 minutes drive - Crazy Horse, Hill City, Custer and Custer State Park, Norbeck Scenic Loop, etc. Bed was very comfortable. Different types of pillows from very soft to hard. Plenty of room within the room. Microwave and small fridge. Crushed ice machine on ground level. Large mirror over sink and enough counter space around sink. Shower is a bit dated with straight curtain rod. Appreciated the rubber lines in the tub shower to prevent slipping. I did not notice whether there was an elevator to get to the 2nd and 3rd floor rooms. My room was on 2nd floor so I used the stairs to carry up/down my carry-on luggage. Parking right in front of rooms. The overflow parking was right next door if you arrive late while staying there. The front desk issues you a parking sign when you check in and you leave it on your car's dash. I used the rocking chairs on the front porch twice to just chill. Very relaxing. Jason manned the front desk when I checked in. Very friendly and helpful. I liked staying here. I also felt safe as a solo traveller.
