"Communication was great for check in. We checked in after 6pm when they are no longer staffed and they left a note for us taped on the wall with our name and instructions all in great English. The place was very clean and as advertised."
"If you want to experience traditional ryokan with fabulous meals, this is the place for you. It is a bit dated like visiting your relative’s house in the small town. It’s surrounded by maple forest, like living in a nice cabin. This is not modern hotel, if you set your expectation right, you will not be disappointed. All the stuffs are so kind and warm. They are great people dedicated to their jobs and it makes me want to visit Kyoto again."

"The hotel was located in a quiet neighbourhood with a decent amount of walkable options nearby for entertainment and food. A bus stop is located less than 5 minutes away as well. The staff was great and accommodating, the free drinks from 3-6 were a very nice touch, the room was both looked nice and was clean while being decently spacious. The buffet breakfast was decent, however for 2750 yen it was a bit pricy. Would stay again for sure. "
