Great home base for our family vacation to Maui south side

My family (5 adults 1 toddler) had a great vacation staying at Joe's house in Kihei. The 3 bedroom layout worked well, and we really appreciated the air conditioners at night.The pack-and-play crib, high chair were great to have, and their great selection of beach gear meant we were able to pack light and still comfortably enjoy time at the house and the very nearby beach.The location worked for us too. It's a bit away from downtown Kihei, but right between Wailea and Kihei. We really enjoyed snorkeling at Ahihi Cove down south, and spent lots of time at the nearby beaches and in Kihei.Mahalo!

Great location

We really appreciated the location in a quiet neighborhood close to great beaches. We also liked that each bedroom had a full bath with 6 adults needing their own space with a large common area for everyone to hang out in. We appreciated the beach chairs, sun umbrellas, boogie boards and snorkeling gear there to use along with a cooler. We did have some issues with the power in the master bedroom not working off and on but Joe was very willing to do what he could to get it working again, although it kept having issues but didn’t cause any major issues. The clothes dryer doesn’t work very well and had to be turned on for quite awhile to finally get beach towels dry. Joe was great to get the garage door remote working within a few days after we arrived as it didn’t initially work. We’d stay here again! Thank you for a comfortable and more adorable place to stay!

Kihei/Waliea gem

This property is very clean and centrally located. Marc and Jon did an amazing job as hosts for our family during the Holiday season. The property is minutes away from some of Maui’s best beaches. Kamole III, Kewakapu, Waliea, Changs, and Mākena are all a very short distance to the house. We will definitely return!

Happy thanksgiving

This was a beautiful house, near beautiful beaches. We had a great time. There were 2 grandparents, 3 grand sons and their mom and dad. An uncle visited for a few days. I would recommend this home to any friend.

Kihei getaway

The best part about this house was its location. Walking distance to the beach, close to Kihei boat landing and close the the fabulous Maui Food Trucks of Kihei. There is a great supply of beach chairs beach mats and snorkel gear that we indeed utilized. The house indeed was spacious as listed. What was listed under amenities that was not there was shampoo. Also under property amenities was "hot tub", but it was a spa bath tub not hot tub things that did not work were ice machine and dryer. No laundry detergent provided. Not having a dryer was not ideal since the humidity made for slow drying of clothing and especially beach towels. There were no wine glasses to use which was a disappointment for me. Check in consisted of calling the owner Joe once you arrived at the rental and Joe meets you there. Joe and his son Mike were very nice. A big drawback however were cockroaches of all sizes that we encountered daily in the house. Also not having AC in the main room and kitchen sitting area was not ideal. This indeed is hard to find in Hawaii- so we were grateful for the AC units in each bedroom. Nonetheless we enjoyed our stay in Maui and thank our hosts

Beautiful & Spacious Home

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this very beautiful, spacious, well appointed home which is in a great location. There was lots of room for our family consisting of 5 adults with three bedrooms & 3 bathrooms. It has a very large open floor plan consisting of the kitchen, dining room and living room, as well as a patio right outside the sliding glass doors with a BBQ and outdoor table & chairs. We had tons of room to spread out, do our own thing, but also be together. Owner Joe and his son Mark were very easy to deal with and very accommodating. We would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable, spacious stay in nice neighborhood

We were a group of 3 adults and the space was plentiful/more than adequate for us. The high ceilings also help to make it feel airy and spacious. We also liked the quiet, residential neighborhood that's just a short drive from the coast and the shops in Wailea. Would recommend for friends and/or family groups

Wonderful Neighborhood and a Great Space!

We had a 5 adults and 2 younger kids, and it was really great for our family. Very spacious, great outdoor spaces in front and back. All of the items you would need for the beach, very helpful! Also, being able to park your rental in the garage is so nice. A very quiet neighborhood where you can see the ocean from the top of the hill in the road.

Just the best!

I cannot say enough good things about the host, and the property. It was centrally located, very clean, and roomy! If you are going to stay in Kihei, this is THE house to stay in. My family will be back. Mahalo

Large comfortable home

This is a family home with large bedrooms and a large living / dining / kitchen area. The host was very responsive (lives next door). Convenient to Kihei and points south. Two garage parking spaces - it was nice that our cars stayed cool!

Spacious, good location, everything you need

The property is spacious and has everything you need, including for babies. You can walk to the beach and shops within 1-2 miles. We had toddlers so generally took the car. House could use some maintenance (greasing door hinges etc), but it was functional and worked for our family. Thanks for the stay!

Great stay!

The house and kitchen utensils were very clean. A fantastic location to the beach and I enjoyed walking to the beach every morning. The chairs and beach gear were fantastic. We enjoyed every moment. Would definitely go back. Thank you for having us!

Family together for a Maui wedding

We enjoyed the large open area and nice sized bedrooms and three full bathrooms for six adults to stay together. The main reason I rented this was so each couple could have their own room and bathroom and this place provided that. Overall the place worked for us. One of the bedroom window air conditioners wasn’t working when we arrived and they replaced it the next morning, which was great. A few things that weren’t great. The air conditioning is only in the windows of each bedroom and they require you to turn it off when you are out. It took hours to cool down upon returning and got super warm. You had to leave the bedroom doors open when sleeping so the open area could have some air too. My family prefers to close their bedroom door when sleeping. The fridge wasn’t working very well and didn’t stay cool enough so some food spoiled. The freezer worked. There were a number of very small nat-sized bugs on the counters in the kitchen and master bathroom which made it a bit uncomfortable. I’m sure the host will be able to address these things for future guests like they did for us with the air conditioning when we arrived so I would suggest checking first it was a nice place and very roomy.

A beautiful home

This was a great home for our extended family including several adults and an infant. The property includes use of beach chairs umbrellas, toys, etc. The beach is a 10 minute walk away. Restaurants and shopping are a short drive away.

Excellent location, amazing stay, thoughtful hosts

This was a perfect location for our week-long stay in so many ways. The house was well stocked and there was enough room for our group of 6 adults and 2 children to be comfortable. Situated in a central location on Maui so our trips around the island were never too long. Close enough to the beach that we could walk there in less than 10 mins. The hosts were very thoughtful and responsive. Overall, we highly recommend!

Quiet, clean, friendly neighborhood!

I’ve never taken a vacation in my adult life and I’m grateful for the opportunity to stay in this home, we had everything we needed. Mark was great in communicating and made the prices simple and easy. The home is very large, and has plenty of room for 7-8 guests to stay. The home stayed relatively cool, and the showers/plumbing worked perfectly. Hawaii does have critters, so take Mark’s advice and keep the screen doors closed. I would stay at this home again in a heartbeat.

Convenient and comfortable property

This property was perfect for our week-long stay in Maui. The house was comfortable and clean. Perfect for three couples. Some of us golfed. Some of us wanted ocean time. We were close to both. Birdsong woke us up each morning. I'd return in a heartbeat.

So accommodating and helpful

We unfortunately had to cancel the week before we stayed because my husband got very sick. Joe was very kind and understanding and he made the experience very easy for us. We wish we could have stayed!

Spacious house for 3 couples

The host was easy to contact and responsive to our needs. He was kind enough to meet us at midnight as our flight arrived late. The house was spacious and perfect for 3 couples as we all had our own bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen is large and fairly well stocked. We had a garage to park our car in. All the beach toys, chairs, cooler etc were available for our use. The location was great. It was just a couple of blocks from the beach. Our host was very accommodating with the check out time. We would all highly recommend this house and it’s location.

Lovely Stay 3 Blocks from the Beach!

Our family of 6 adults and one toddler stayed for 8 nights. With 3 bedrooms, 3 bathsand a futon couch that folds down into a bed. Beds were very comfortable. We had a wonderful stay with everything you need for preparing food, and going to the beach with beach towels, boogie boards, chairs, umbrellas, and sand toys. The owners responded quickly to anything we needed. If you are looking for a house where you can spread out and yet be all together, this is the place! We walked 3 blocks to the perfect beach, Keawakapu, everyday or drove and parked our vehicles with our beach gear in the nearby parking lot. This was the ideal location to do everything on Maui.

Christmas in Maui

Joe and Mark are wonderful hosts, and the property is at a nice location for getting around the island. The 3 baths and 3 bedrooms and big living room made for a relaxing stay.
