"Of course — here’s a tightened version that keeps the same tone and is comfortably under 1,500 characters. We had a lovely family stay at the Fairmont St Andrews. Although our arrival and first day didn’t quite meet the standard we expected from a five-star resort, I was extremely impressed by how the situation was handled by Yegna, the manager. Yegna responded to our concerns incredibly quickly and professionally, taking the time to listen, understand what had happened and ensure everything was resolved promptly. Their attention to detail and genuine commitment to making sure we had a positive experience made a huge difference to the remainder of our stay. Thanks to Yegna, we were able to put the initial issues behind us and enjoy the rest of our weekend with our family. The level of care and professionalism we received was exactly what you would hope for from a five-star resort, and we really appreciated the effort made to turn our experience around. Things don’t always go perfectly, but what stood out was how quickly and professionally Yegna responded and how determined they were to make things right. A special thank you to Yegna for their outstanding customer service and for ensuring we could enjoy the remainder of our visit. We would happily return to the Fairmont St Andrews."

"Lovely spacious room, good bathroom with shower. Breakfast bit disappointing as food seemed to have been sitting for some time. Sausages were quite hard. Bacon solid. Nice choice of teas and good toaster."

"A really lovely, comfortable hotel in a great location. The spa is just what's needed, reception staff very helpful, room very comfortable. Breakfast on Saturday morning was a little bit chaotic, perhaps due to lack of staff, but the staff were still very polite and helpful. A very relaxing stay"

"This is a beautiful unique hotel within an old mill. The building and the rooms within have been modernised to a high standard and they have kept some of the original features. The room itself was large with very high ceiling. The bathroom was also very nice and large. The only thing we could even pick up on was the lack of biscuits on the tea tray or hot chocolate sachets. Even at breakfast there is no hot chocolate option. However we would highly recommend the hotel and have no doubt that we will return."

"Great stay. There was some noise from outside (5th floor, front facing room), but considering the location and that it was a Friday night, we really could not complain. Bed was very comfy, everything was very clean and well maintained. At £99, this was excellent value for money. Would absolutely stay here again."

"The Old Course Hotel is, without question, one of the finest hotels in all of Great Britain and an absolute must-visit for any golf lover. The location alone is iconic, but the entire experience lives up to it. You have to go! Everything about the hotel feels exquisite and high-end, from the rooms and common areas to the service and overall attention to detail. The staff were excellent throughout our stay...professional, welcoming, and always helpful. Two thumbs up. The food was also superb. Every meal we had was beautifully prepared and added to the overall experience. Staying here feels like much more than just visiting a hotel; it’s part of the St Andrews experience itself. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and can’t wait to return, hopefully next time with my entire family."
