"I really enjoyed the breakfast and the in house bar. The room was charming and slightly dated, but no big deal. The staff were excellent and delightful. My big complaint was that this hotel is next to a church. And in the AM the bells rang out at 3 different times. I know the hotel can't fix this, but it might have been better if it wasnt a surprise."

"While vintage in appearance, the Grand Hotel looks impeccable and very clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly. While we did not have the available hot breakfast, we chose the fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals and out of the oven, delicious scones. Highly recommended. "

"Paid an outrageous amount (it was a long weekend) for what seemed like a 2 star hotel. Beds not comfy and hoards of people running down the hallways yelling and banging on doors all night long. Barely slept. It was our worst stay in Ireland and don't recommend it. I asked the front desk for a reduced rate because we were woken up every hour in the night with people yelling in the hallways and they said "a manager would get back to me" That never happened. Very disappointing. They clearly need security on the long weekends. Would not recommend. There are so many nicer places to stay. "

"Our check-in experience was wonderful. The receptionist greeted us warmly and helped to set up a dinner reservation for us. She relayed all the information about the premises and guided us to our room. Our room had a beautiful view onto the sea. Our beds and carpet were clean. The toilet in the bathroom was dirty, the seat lid would not stay up and hit you in the back when using it, and the tank leaked. The shower is very small. The common areas in the lodge appeared to be used by guests and family members and had many personal items spread about. I wouldn’t advise anyone against staying here, but just know what you’re getting."

"I was in one of the refurbished rooms in the main building and it was absolutely fabulous. Having breakfast each morning in the Mountain View restaurant was a real highlight - stunning views. Located about 15 mins from Tralee where I was attending a conference and about 10 mins from stunning Banna Beach. Great location, helpful staff, well furnished with stunning views."

"Nice hotel. Conveniently located for our trip. Minor complaint is that tour buses seem to always block front of hotel. Perhaps just bad timing for us."

"Thanks to Jen and Fergal for sharing their beautiful home with us! This was truly our ideal of peace and relaxation. The natural beauty of the landscape is something you have to see to understand - stunning views of the McGillicuddy Reeks and Dunloe Gap, as well as the adjacent farmland. We loved having the cows, dogs and cats nearby. The made-to-order breakfasts were incredible. The kitchen area, living/reading room, and outdoor seating areas made the farm extremely homey. Feels like you’re staying at a friend’s place. We had a rental car, and it was an easy drive to the Visitors’ Center parking lot to meet tours (Dingle Peninsula and Slea Head, Ring of Kerry, and a boat trip from Ross Castle to Innisfallen Island - all highly recommended) and we loved Kate Kearney’s Cottage for dinner and music. Wonderful place, wonderful people. "
