We enjoyed the hotel that we ended up staying longer than we originally had planned. It was lovely, well maintained and our bed was very comfortable. We used the spa a couple of times during our stay and would highly recommend it. Further, the breakfasts were fantastic, particularly the Irish breakfasts.

This was a beautiful hotel, we (2 couples ) arrived late in evening so didn’t get to enjoy it very much. Parking was not real convenient but they were busy with a wedding at the time. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was served in the dining room and was very good with many options.

Excellent experience from check-in to check-out, the staff was great at the front desk as well as at breakfast. Hotel was in a perfect location for our trip with plenty of parking. A lot of morning activity outside our door as we were on the 1st floor. A lot of opening closing of doors which aren't silent for those light sleepers. I was at one end and my brother the far end and we both heard a lot of activity from 6-7:30am and I had ear plugs.

My wife and I booked Hotel Kilkenny. We arrived early and checked in. On a walk my wife tripped and fell needing a trip to the emergency room. The reception staff at the hotel went above and beyond getting everything she needed for the trip to the hospital. When we returned to the hotel, everyone was so kind asking how she was doing. The breakfast was made to order and was excellent. Every member of the staff from front desk, bar, dining and housekeeping were amazing. Our room was beautiful. The housekeeping staff kept all our amenities refilled. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel. When I return to Kilkenny, I will stay at this hotel again.

Breakfast food and service best thing about hotel. Otherwise disappointing in comparison with other hotels in Ireland, some quite a bit less expensive. Room definitely needs refurbishing, especially bathroom--a bit shabby. Bar and restaurant service lackluster and food okay but not great. Good location. WARNING: No air conditioning! Room was hot even though in mid-60s outside in mid September. Can't imagine staying here in July and August!

the location is a few klms from the town centre, which is quite a walk. The hotel entrance is at the back and you need to walk through a very busy carpark and enter around the back. the rooms are a strange mix of old and new, and the main weakness was no fridge and little ventilation. The room we had (301) was in a corner and the window only opened a few inches, its location meant little airflow and despite moderate weather, it was stuffy. There is no air conditioning and on one occasion, the wall heaters (which i never use) started heating rapidly and made a lot of noise. There was no ay to turn it off, making the room hot and unpleasant. We were advised that there was some re-set being done on the heating and eventually the noise and heat went away, though it took a few hours for the room temperature to normalise. The food was quite good, and the staff were very helpful. I would not stay again in warm weather and would seek a room with better ventilation irrespective of the season.

Lovely hotel we did not have opportunity to use pool but the food was lovely, The room heat was not visibly controlled and no instructions on how to reduce heat … fan was available. At the function area no air conditioning evident !!
